Got smoked yesterday with a bad showing with jackets in my unposted play and the kings looked brutal vs the desert dogs.

Laying the big time chalk today:

Sens -197 to win 2 units

Its not my favorite spot to take a team and laying the chalk isn't something I like doing in hockey but I'm going to here. This sens team hasn't lost b2b this season and I don't expect it to start tonight. The pens and sid show usually get a lot of fan hype so I expect the sens to be up for this game tho I think it'll lend to a flat showing in their next one vs phily. Sabourin gets the start which I like as I think Fleury is starting to come around a bit. Gerbers also outplaying Emery right now which is to be expected so short after his surgery but the team has a lot of faith in Gerber. I don't lay this big chalk lightly but it's 2 different classes of teams here and the better team has the better tender and is at home. If they are up for this game they take it. I'd need a far better price on the pens in their form to bite on them.

Avs -136 to win 3 units

2 teams that are due to revert back to form so I'll take my shot with the better team here. The oil are playing solid hockey but they lack the defensive corps to match fellow northwest squads night in night out and tonight seems like a good night for the avs to remind the oil they are a step behind the rest of the nw with their injury situation. The avs are struggling badly but they are an offensive team that ran into some notoriously strong defensive clubs. Getting the oil tonight should be a breath of fresh air for a team thats wanting to get away from the tight checking teams and that is also due to break this mini goal scoring slump. After a horrible start to this road trip, I'm sure they'll give a solid effort in the final game of the roadie. Budajs been money vs the oil and I don't look for that to change tonight.
