see what we can get going today......haven't seen anything in a week, but the way PHI played vs. NYR i didn't miss anything....

i honestly don't see much value in anything today. probably forcing some plays just because i actually have time to play some and i am sure i will be kicking myself for most of these in about 10 hours, but.......chalk is the theme of the day.....lowering the units to play some of these.......

SAN -170 (1P)...........2/3Unit

SAN -230.......1Unit...............9-0-1 L10 at home vs. the CHI, including a 3-2 win a week ago. 10 game homestand for SAN and i am hoping i get the right SAN team today. CHI is just 4-9-1 since the first of the year and has lost 3 straight. K-hab-eeeboulin in net today for CHI vs. Nabakov.

SAN -1 1/2 +130.......1Unit.......i'll take a chance with the PL, but i really hestitate to make this play because SAN gives up goals at home and they aren't exactly the PIT penguins of the early 90's when it comes to scoring them anywhere this year.

PHI -145................see if my team can avoid cornholing me today.....PHI 12-5-2 off a loss and ANA is just flat struggling to score right now. PHI is one of the better offensive clubs in the league and coming off a flat out abysmal performance vs. the Rangers and getting shut out, i would expect a lot better effort today. Especially with the defending cup champs coming to town. I would think PHI would want to make a statement in a game like this. ANA has lost 5 in a row and may start Hiller tonight. Can't seem to get a confirmation either way. Kind of a steep price, still, IMO and no value from a dollars standpoint, but i like the spot. ANA off an OT loss last night and had to fly to PHI today for a B2B. Would have upped the units if i could have found a better price.

WAS -200.......1 1/2Units............ATL lineup missing 25% of its goal production tonight and i like the way the WAS have played lately at home. Ovechkin has tallied almost a point and a half a game vs. ATL and Lehtonen is 0-3-0 with a 4.06GAA vs. the Caps and figures to get the start. ATL off an OT win last night and playing 3I4 with travel. Give it a go.

WAS Over3 -135.......................ATL has the worst GAA of any club in the NHL (30 out of 30) on the road and WAS is 8th in scoring at home. With Ovechkin's successes vs. ATL to the tune of a point and a half a game over 20 games and Lethtonen's woes vs. the Caps i would like to think they could at least push this play at home.

DET/BOS Under5 1/2 -135.............almost have to play this based on the numbers. BOS is the stingiest team in the league at home and DET is the stingiest team in the league on the road. Couple that with BOS sitting at 28th out of 30 teams in scoring at home and the fact that neither of these teams has seen a game hit 5 goals in their L4 and i have to give it a go. Not a terribly steep price. I am horrible with 2 team game totals and i should probably just fade this play.....

may add OTT later believe it or not......

that is probably it....i wanted to play NJD but -180 is too much and i have played them before in this spot where i "expected" an effort and got rewarded with a goose egg on the board. Still eyeing a couple late ones and we'll see how these go.

Do you follow your O/U records? I recall you (i think it was you) telling JML you do well on the PL, I tend ot fare better on the O/U and the ML (well better meaning bad but not as bad :P

USF- THX!......RJP is the PL guy i believe. I have had a lot of success with team totals, but not very much at all with game totals. I rarely play a game total, because i am usually more comfortable playing 1 team to score a certain number, but i just really played all the trends in this one and almost had to play it, as well (knock on wood) as both of those teams have been playing defensively and in net. And add to that BOS is 28th out of 30 in the league in Goals at home and i lined up on it. I still think Team Totals are some of the best plays, especially if you can find a team you like at 2 1/2. GL!....

JML- THX!.......SAN PL scares me as they aren't a team that wins by margin a lot. But first game of a 10 game homestand and CHI playing awful hockey, you would hope you get a premiere effort from the Charks tonight. I actually added another unit to the WAS/Over plays.

TAM -160..........1Unit.........FLA 0-10 L10 Saturday games..........gotta play that trend i saw.....

OTT -130..........1Unit..........tailing a hot NHL service i happened to come across today. Not sure the basis for the play, but from all accounts they are good so i will give it a go. Laying chalk with a team missing 2/3 of its top line, starting a head case with an .880 SV% in net, and doing so on the road vs. your most heated rival...not sure i would have landed on that side but we'll give it a go at a reduced Unit play.

still may add a couple more later....

well, looks like another nice Saturday disaster coming....i should just avoid saturdays....WAS 1 SOG though 15 minutes, OTT with 2 through 12.....who the fk gives out OTT as their top hockey play today needs their head examined as do i for playing it.....................

hmmmmm...penalties 5-0 in favor of TOR....so let me get this straight...in the "new" NHL....TOR has played 30 minutes and hasn't committed 1 penalty............and OTT has committed 5.....yeaaaahhhhhhh.....OK............

wow.......not really sure what to say at this point other than i've about had it with the NHL for the year....

WAS outshoots and dominates ATL to the tune of 36-11 (not counting the EN SOG) and loses 2-0.....

Somehow.......OTT doesn't get a single fking PP in the ENTIRE FKING game......what a stupid play by that service......if he has been doing well by giving out winners like OTT -130 with the only 2 people that can score for that team and Ray Emery in net, then he is lucky....and im a moron for following along........
