TSN is reporting that it's a done deal, no word on who/what Dallas gave Tampa

I heard Mike Smith is definitely a part of it...TB was demanding a goalie as a part of the Richards trade....and Dallas is in the best condition to deal that, with 2 good ones. Vancouver was trying to peddle their young prospect goalie Schneider as part of their offer for Richards, but he's likely too far away from competing...

why does DAL need another cetnerman? Ribiero and Modano have been more than solid so far. I mean seriously, you're not going to break up the Ribiero/Morrow line and then what, are you going to pay Richards 7M/season to center your 4th line......he showed in TAM he didn't do well when he had stiffs on his wings. Don't really understand that trade
