Default USA Basketball

King James, not 100%. Will USA get the gold medal in hoops?

They better, some of those bastards are on record of GUARANTEEING a win.

If they can get their lazy asses to D-up, they should beat everybody by double digits.

If they act like its an all star game though, their dead.

At the current odds of -350 up to -700, I'll pass.
I'm thinkin' Spain, Argentina, or Lithuania has a good chance at an upset.
How about china with Yao @ +5000

This year won't be close. They seem to play more as a team, play defence, and actually care. That last team was a joke...AI and Marbury were the backcourt? Seriously? For international ball? Those selfish pricks were horrible. Plus...Duncan looked lost playing the international game on that team.

This team won't be challenged one bit, IMO...Bigs Bosh and Howard are better suited for a faster world game, and the young, athletic swing players and lightning quick guards this time out are unstoppable.

Probably the most fun to watch since the original DT...(in a sadistic, blowout kinda way)

Looking forward to it!

Hear Mcabe is likely on his way to Florida? Found someone to take his salary...wow...

Wow are the Leafs going to be bad this year....lmao....you should see the list of their top 12 forwards...I don't think that lineup would win the AHL title next year...lol. Hopefully they're bad enough to get Tavares first overal in the next draft, who is projected to be the next Crosby-type player....

Florida is a mess and should just be folded as a franchise. They won't give Boumeester more than a 1 year deal and he's all but gone after this year, but they will take McCabe at a huge salary who isn't near the player he once was.

Leafs....lol.....check it out...doing the double on 1/2 and 1/3....PHI at LAK and then PHI at ANA the next night. It is awesome being in a "hockey market" where nobody goes to most of the games. If you wanted to go see the LAK play like Calgary or Vancouver or Dallas or like Chicago in late January or sometime in February...you could go on-line to ticketmaster and pick up seats for face value down in the lower bowl like 10 rows up. Sad but kind of nice.

Also going to the Blackhawks game in Chicago on 10/31 vs. the Stars.

LOL....didn't somebody start a USA basketball thread.....

hockey..............

I heard they offered Boumeester a long term, big money deal, but he wants to go to Free Agency....rumour is he wants to play in Western Canada, or any "hockey" market at the very least. Florida has resigned to the fact that they are losing him, and will be trading him at some point during the season...hence picking up McCabe to replace his minutes without giving up much if anything.

Haven't been to an NHL game in 2 years....almost impossible in Toronto....BUT this year I'll be seeing the Leafs in TB in March. Going to visit the parents for a couple weeks....hitting the Jays Spring Training and Leafs/Lightning during the trip.

Was a closer game than I expected...This US team should not have Kidd on that squad...
