BOTH 4 x 110 teams drop the baton in qualifying and are DQ'd.....the hurdles 110 chick hits the last hurdle and finishes last after leading.......the woman who ran the 440 gets smoked down the last straightaway (she claims her leg cramped but you certainly couldn't see it on the TV) to go from first to barely 3rd as a HUGE favorite. The Pole Vaulter talked shit and then got buried (lmao...pole vault chicks talking trash...)...i mean the list goes on and on and on.

The U.S. shot putters, considered talented enough to sweep the event, claimed only a silver medal, and did it on their last attempt.

The U.S. men failed to qualify for the finals in the long jump, triple jump and high jump. If they reinstated the broad jump, it’s a good bet the Americans would have flopped there, too.

Pole vaulter Brad Walker, the American record holder and the reigning world outdoor champion, no-heighted.

The men and women sprinters lost every marquee race to the Jamaicans, and anyone who thinks performance-enhancing drugs fueled the Jamaican’s success has to find a new excuse to explain the Americans’ Keystone Kops routine in the relays. It almost looked as if they they’d practiced the botched baton pass based on the eerily similar mishaps.

then there is the US Men's boxing team....or at least i think we sent a team over...none of them were around much after the opening ceremonies. Huge rift between the coaches and the boxers comes out after everyone lost......what a mess....



but the all time best was the chinese women in gymnastics.....if you can expalin to me how a chick can fall on her head while vaulting and score higher than another girl who did a great vault.......i would like to hear it....
