Cool JoePa's Wachovia & SemGroup Picks

WACHOVIA - To win....

Phil Mickelson 10/1 - Three Top 10s in four starts at the Wachovia with a T3rd last year at -9. On tour this season Mickelson has 4 Top 10s, 8 Top 25s in 9 tournaments. He is ahead of the tour averages in scoring @ 69.59, driving distance 293yds, GIR 68.28%, scrambling 67.23% and putts 28.87 to 29.30.

Vijay Singh 16/1 - Vijay has also enjoyed success at the Wachovia with 4 Top 10s in 5 tries, finishing 7th iin 2007, won it in 2005, and T2nd in 2003. On the season he has 4/9 Top 10 finishes with two 2nds and one 3rd. He's also well ahead of the tour averages for scrambling 61.67% - 57.66%, GIR 70.59% - 63.61%, scoring average 69.88, and driving distance 289.3 yards.

Jim Furyk 18/1 - I always like Furyk's chances since he's always among the scoring leaders and a steady performer. This year his scoring average is @ 70.67, has 4 Top 10s in 9 outings, hits GIR in 67.19%, and is pretty accurate with his driver this year finding 72.78% of the fairways and hitting them 273.5yds from the tee.....he won the Wachovia in 2006 and T2nd in 2005. I know he missed the cut last year he's overdue this year and has been playing well.

SEMGROUP LPGA - To win....but Lorena's back after a week layoff....

Mi Hyun Kim 28/1 - The defending champion and no doubt crowd favorite in Oklahoma this year....she's out to break Ochoa's streak of 4 straight wins on the LPGA tour and 5 in the last 6 tournaments. Kim will be warmly welcomed back to Tulsa this year after she donated $100,000 of her $210 purse last year to the United Way disaster relief for tornado victims in the area. Kim has 3 Top 10s in 5 tries in this tournament.

Cristie Kerr 25/1 - Kerr returns to the scene of her career low round of 61 at Cedar Ridge when she posted her 9th career LPGA victory.

Stacy Prammanasudh 50/1 - Another crowd favorite and graduate of the University of Tulsa where she won 10 collegiate titles second only to fellow alum Nancy Lopez's 11 titles. Stacy has 2 Top 10s this season.
