Elton Brand Injury - Ruptured Left Achilles' Tendon

Today while doing his ordinary workouts, Clippers Forward Elton Brand ruptured his left Achilles' tendon putting his 2007-08 NBA season in doubt. This is a tragedy for not only the Los Angeles Clippers but the basketball world as Brand was set to be in his prime and to become one of the most dominant players in the NBA.
He will surely need the tendon to be surgically repaired.
Lineup-wise, the Clippers will need to go out and find a new starting power forward or give the job to rookie Al Thornton who we think can handle the task. He'd also have the experienced Tim Thomas to back him up, but neither fills the shoes of the injured all-star Brand.
