Week 4 NFL Notes: Daunte Culpepper is expected to start for the Oakland Raiders. Broncos WR Javon Walker will be a gametime decision this week. Dolphins hard-hitting LB Zach Thomas will be a gametime decision. Cinci RB Rudi Johnson will sit the Bengals MNF tilt with the Patriots. Jake Delhomme hasn't practiced all week and it's likely that David Carr will start in his place. Steelers wideout Hines Ward is listed as doubtful this week but will be a gametime decision. Look for Brodie Croyle to make an appearance should Damon Huard struggle this week at QB for the Chiefs. - 9/28Week 4 NFL Betting Odds - 9/25
About time: Bears Coach Lovie Smith has announced that QB Brian Griese will surplant Rex Grossman as the team's starter next week. - 9/25
Breaking News: Deuce McAllister Injury sustained in the Saints MNF game vs. the Titans has ended the star running back's season and possibly his career. - 9/25
Tennessee Titans vs. New Orleans Saints - 9/24

Injury Report: Texans WR Andre Johnson will NOT play this week. Eagles RB Brian Westbrook's knee injury is not serious and he is questionable for this week's game. Jets QB Chad Pennington's high ankle sprain has healed nicely and they'll start him in Week 3.
Week 3 NFL Betting Lines and Odds. - 9/19
Grandpa Mort is back! The Falcons have signed ageless 47 year old kicker Morten Anderson to replace Matt Prater who has missed 3/4 field goal attempts this season. In other news, Redskins Right Guard Randy Thomas is out for the year with a torn triceps. This now makes 2 offensive lineman on the Hogs right side of the line that have gone down with injuries. - 9/18
Byron Leftwich has signed a two year deal with the Atlanta Falcons. In other news, Packers RB DeShawn Wynn will see more carries in Week 3 and may take the starting job from Brandon Jackson who has been ineffective. - 9/18
The Atlanta Falcons are reportedly interested in ex-Jags QB Byron Leftwich despite Joey Harrington completing better than 2/3's of his passes this season. - 9/17
Injured: Giants rookie WR Steve Smith will be out indefinitely with a fractured shoulder blade that he suffered in Sunday's game vs. the Packers. - 9/17
Tennessee Head Coach Jeff Fisher has signed a four year contract extension that will keep him with the Titans until 2011. The deal was said to be worth 5.5 to 6 million per year. - 9/17
Monday Night Football: Washington Redskins vs. Philadelphia Eagles - 9/17
Patriots take a hit: NE had been accused of videotaping other teams signals from the bench. Today the NFL handed down a slap on their hands with the team receiving a 250k fine, the coach a 500k fine and the team will lose it's 2008 1st round draft pick if it makes the playoffs this year. - 9/13
NFL Trades: Two days after Charlie Frye gets yanked and replaced by Derek Andersen, Frye finds himself traded to the Seattle Seahawks in a stunning move made by Browns management who obviously no longer felt he was in their future plans. Needless to say, these guys are going to look like clowns as whoever replaces Frye will do just as bad as the offensive line is the problem, not the QB. No QB can have a good showing while constantly being blitzed and chased around behind a poor offensive line. - 9/11
ESPN is reporting that the Oakland Raiders and rookie QB Jamarcus Russell have agreed in principle to a six year deal. Word is Russell will sign Tuesday and report to practice Wednesday. - 9/10
Monday Night Football Pick: Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ers Pick. - 9/10
New football lines are out! Week 2 NFL Betting Lines and Odds (We'll update the remaining once they come out) - 9/9

Check out Jerald's take on the Chicago Bears vs. San Diego Chargers game + New England Patriots vs. New York Jets- 9/8
Week 1 Sunday NFL Picks: Chicago Bears vs. San Diego Chargers + New York Giants vs. Dallas Cowboys + Denver Broncos vs. Buffalo Bills - 9/8

2007 Week 1 Betting: Some things to ponder. - 9/4
Byron Leftwich is talking to the Baltimore Ravens about potentially coming on board as a backup QB to Steve McNair. In other news, Jeremiah Trotter is not done yet as he signed a one year deal with TB today. In other news, the Denver Broncos have signed DE Simeon Rice to a one year deal. - 9/3
The KC Chiefs have placed an NFI tag on RB Priest Holmes, which is the Non-Football Injury list, ending his season. This also prevents him from playing elsewhere. We have likely seen the last of Priest Holmes on the playing field. In other NFL news today, the Detroit Lions have opted to keep RB Kevin Jones OFF the PUP list which is contrary to previous reports. The Seattle Seahawks have traded Safety Michael Boulware to the Texans for DE Jason Babin. - 9/1
Rumors out of Jacksonville Florida have the Jaguars RELEASING QB Byron Leftwich which would make David Garrard the starter. In other NFL news today Giants DE Michael Strahan will be returning to the field shortly. News out of Toledo claims that ex-Toledo QB Bruce Gradkowski may have been involved in point shaving. - 8/31
PUP List Addition: Detroit Lions RB Kevin Jones. He will be eligible to play in NFL week 7. - 8/30
Done Holding Out: Asante Samuel is ready to get back on the playing field after signing a one year deal worth over 7 million dollars. - 8/27
Michael Vick Pleads Guilty: Sentencing is set for December 10th. - 8/27
Curtains: Steelers RB Kevan Barlow was cut today. The one-time promising 49ers RB just can't seem to catch on anywhere these days. - 8/27
The Minnesota Vikings have acquired QB Kelly Holcomb and all it cost them was a 6th round draft pick in the 2009 NFL draft. A great move considering Holcomb could start for half the teams in the NFL and that Tavaris Jackson is no lock to be consistent. - 8/27
Packers WR Donald Driver suffered a foot sprain in last night's preseason game however it is said to not be a serious injury. - 8/24
No more than one day after we report David Boston was named a starter, the dumbass goes out and gets a DUI. How this will affect his playing time has yet to be seen, but given his past this is not looking good for the WR. - 8/24
From no-name to stardom to?: David Boston is back in an NFL starting lineup for the first time in a long time as Tampa Bay has named him their starter at Flanker. Boston surely won't put up 100 catch seasons like before, but he is still very much an above average NFL receiver. - 8/23
NFL Trade: The Redskins have acquired Guard Pete Kendall from the NYJ for a 4th round draft pick. A great pickup for the Skins as solid offensive lineman like Kendall are hard to find. - 8/23

Handicapping Article: Handicapping NFL Road Favorites
Eagles LB Jeremiah Trotter cut. Eagles team reps had asked him to consider retirement but with only 9 years in the league it's said that he'll make an attempt to sign elsewhere. - 8/21
The Minnesota Vikings have signed former Packer WR Robert Ferguson. This may stunt the growth and cut into the playing time of rookie WR Sidney Rice. It could also be an insurance policy if Rice doesn't work out as well. - 8/21
Larry Johnson has agreed in principle to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs for 6 years. The loot was said to be around 45 million. We don't like to talk about player salaries here at Predictem though cause who really gives a shit, ya know? Just get your ass on the field and play some ball! - 8/21
Rumors out of Atlanta are that Bobby Petrino is looking to bring QB Mark Brunell on board. - 8/20
The Oakland Raiders have acquired defensive tackle Gerard Warren from the Broncos in exchange for a conditional fifth round pick. Great pickup for the aleady respectable Raiders D. - 8/20
Michael Vick agree's to enter plea bargain with a hearing scheduled for August 27th. The Falcons QB will plead guilty to federal dogfighting conspiracy charges and is looking at a potential five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, which most believe is much more than what he'll actually receive as punishment for his horrible crime. - 8/20
Rookie Brandon Jackson has been named the Packers starter for week 1. - 8/19
Saturday's preseason action brought some surprises and some injuries to key players. The Broncos starting RB Travis Henry went down with a MCL sprain making his status to start the season "questionable." Bills DE Ryan Denney fractured his foot and is likely lost for the season. In the "surprising department, Daunte Culpepper looked good vs. the 49ers making many think he has the inside track to the starting position, at least for week 1. Browns QB Brady Quinn looked head and shoulders above "other" Browns play-callers Charlie Frye and Derek Andersen keeping the starting QB position in Cleveland unknown. - 8/18
The Philadelphia Eagles will be using RB Tony Hunt in short yardage and goal line situations early in the season according to ESPN's football insider John Clayton. - 8/18
Sunday Night Football (8/19) Preview and Pick: New York Giants vs. Baltimore Ravens. - 8/19
Announcement: Huge thanks to BetUS for sponsoring the Predictem.com/BetUS.com $1000 NFL "Best Bet" Contest! - 8/16Donovan McNabb to start this week. This is his first game back since his injury. - 8/16
Week 2 NFL Preseason Lines and Odds - 8/15
Surprising rumors out of KC have Priest Holmes quite possibly not making the team. There is no word whether he'll hang'em up or look to play elsewhere. One would think ths would motivate him to go to another team to continue his comeback. My what a story that could turn out to be if all went well for one of the NFL's most exciting ball carriers. - 8/13
Eagles backup RB Ryan Moats has likely been lost for the season due to a fractured ankle he sustained during the Monday Night Football game. - 8/13
More of the same: Raiders QB Daunte Culpepper fumbled twice in his firs three plays. While it looks like his knee is feeling better, his hands are still made of stone. - 8/12
The NFL is expected to announce that Falcons QB Michael Vick will be suspended from the NFL for one year. - 8/12
Sad and bad news out of the NFL today: Battering ram FB Mike Alstott announced that he will start the season out on IR. This will likely end his career. Eagles TE L.J. Smith re-aggravated an existing groin injury which is likely to hamper him all season and hinder his playing time. Raiders RB LaMont Jordan is said to be having flareups from a pre-existing back problem that he also suffered through last season. - 8/9
According to NFL.com reports, Priest Holmes would like to start in place of Larry Johnson if he continues to hold out into the season. - 8/8
Carolina Panthers safety Mike Minter retires after 10 year career with the team. (Bad knees forced the decision.) - 8/7
Jerald talks about handicapping winless teams and the great betting value they provide. - 8/5
Hurting RB's: A couple days after Chester Taylor was hurt, Adrian Peterson leaves the field with a hip pointer. - 8/2
Broncos WR Rod Smith likely to start the season on the PUP list with a bad hip. - 8/1
Daunte Culpepper signs with the Oakland Raiders for one year. Don't be surprised if Daunte comes out with something to prove and grabs the starting job away from the rookie. What happens after that is anybody's guess though. With the Raiders offensive line as questionable as ever, maybe Daunte should just take the snap and run with it. - 8/1
Kansas City Chiefs RB Larry Johnson Still Holding Out - 8/1
