New Orleans Saints fans are hoping their team remains undefeated after they travel to the sunshine state for a game versus the Dolphins in Miami. The Saints are coming off of a huge blowout win over the New York Giants 48-27.

Saints QB Drew Brees was unconscious Sunday against the previously unbeaten New York Giants. Both teams entered this game unbeaten but it was the Saints who trashed the Giants and their number one rated defense as they put up 48 points.

Brees was 23 of 30 for 369 yards and 4 touchdowns. He had a perfect passer rating on plays of ten yards or more. Brees finished the game with a 156.8 passer rating while Eli Manning finished with a rating of 61.

The Saints are the talk of the NFL right now as potential superbowl favorites. What? Let’s not get too excited after just week 6, but what if? New Orleans has downed all opponents by 14 points or more and with each win they become more convincing.

Brees connected with Marques Colston for 166 yards and a touchdown as seven different Saint’s players scored in all to mark a franchise record.

The Miami Dolphins welcome the Saints to Land Shark Stadium and will look to knock off one of the league’s unbeaten squads. Miami ran the wildcat and it paid off for them in the end as running back, Ronnie Brown took the snap and carried the ball into the end zone from 2-yards out to give the Dolphins a 31-27 win over the Jets last Monday night.

Dolphin’s QB Chad Henne was asked to make some significant pass plays down the stretch and he responded well. Henne finished the Jet’s game with 241 yards on 20 of 26 passing and 2 touchdowns. The Dolphins are averaging 22.4 points per game and 340 yards of total offense. Miami comes into this matchup currently on a 2-game win streak. They hope to get back to .500 by improving their record to 3-3.

The Dolphins are 2-1 SU, 2-1 ATS, and 3-0 O/U at home this season. The Saints are 2-0 SU, 2-0 ATS, and 1-1 O/U on the road this year.

Most online casinos have the Saints favored at -6 with a total of 46.5 but some are posting the Saints -7 and the total as high as 49.

On a side note, the Saints only loss this year was during the preseason when they lost 10-7 to the Miami Dolphins. Certainly the preseason doesn’t count but the fact remains that they did lose. The way Drew Brees is playing right now I find it difficult to shut him down. The Dolphins will definitely need to apply consistent pressure on Mr. Brees. The big question is can they pressure and defend well enough in the secondary? The Saints have quietly become one of the NFL’s strongest teams but it’s only week 7; pretty soon people will be saying yeah, but it’s only week 17! I give the Saints props. The Dolphins will be busy trying to decide who will get the ball on every play as New Orleans has managed to spread out their offensive attack.

The Saints come into Land Shark averaging 38.4 points per game which is shocking if you’ve just come out of a comma and only remember the `Aints. Defensively they have allowed 18.6 points per contest. They tend to give up more through the air, 217.8 yards per game but have held opposing runners to 83 yards on the ground.

Miami might want to send a message early, specifically on the Saints first drive. New Orleans has scored on every one of their first drives this season. Drew Brees has thrown for over 300 yards in nearly half of his games as a Saint and he has a combined 101 touchdowns in those games.

Wilson’s Pick: New Orleans 42, Miami 24. The Saints Brees by the Dolphins! Luck to ya.
