It's not even 24 hours after the New Orleans Saints won Super Bowl XLIV and leading online sportsbook Bodog has posted odds to win Super Bowl 45 for all 32 NFL teams. What's surprising is that even after their 31-17 victory in Super Bowl XLIV, the Saints are not the favorites to win the next championship.
The Linesmaker at Bodog has made the Indianapolis Colts the favorite for the 2011 edition at 6.5 -1 followed by the San Diego Chargers at 8-1, New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints at 10 -1.
Some interesting long shot odds to win the Super Bowl XLV are the Houston Texans from the AFC who were 9-7 last season which included two close losses to Indianapolis. They're listed at a betting line of 35-1.
From the NFC we think that the San Francisco 49ers could really step up this season and have a reasonable shot at making an appearance in Dallas for the big game. They did outscore their opponents on the year by 49 points and were a -9 in turnovers. Those are two key stats when looking for improvement in teams for the upcoming season.
