Each week during the NFL football season we'll post trends that SOUND like they make a game look like it's a winner. It's very likely that they will provide for a losing record, quite possibly worth fading (going against). Disclaimer! While many tout services and pro handicappers like to tout trends as analysis, we'd like to say it loud and clear that it is our opinion that trends are ONLY to be used for entertainment as most are fairly worthless. So much so, that betting against them can make you some good money.
There's an old saying "let the trend be your friend" but it's B.S. How can you put much weight into something that includes info from years, past, many times from many years past when different players and coaches were around? Nonetheless, we'll sift through it all and post any decent angles and situational stats we can find relative to past trends. Look for these trends to be posted by late Friday afternoon each week during the Pro football season. Enjoy!
Week 5 (10/7 and 10/8) NFL Trends:
Tennessee Titans are 14-3 ATS in their last 17 games overall. The trend recommends a play on Tennessee -8
Detroit Lions are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog. Trend recommends a play on Detroit at +3.5. Remember to fade the suggested play!

Under is 17-7 in Bears last 24 games following a S.U. loss.
Raiders are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games on Grass.
Seahawks are 12-5 ATS in their last 17 games in September.
Giants are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a home underdog of 0.5-3.0.
Bengals are 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
Week 3 (9/23) NFL Trends:
JAC are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 road games. (loss)
CAR are 21-9-2 ATS in their last 32 road games. (Winner)
CHI are 1-7 ATS in their last 8 games overall. (Winner)
Week 2 Trends: (9/16)
NYG are 3-7-1 ATS in their last 11 games overall. (They lost again making this play a winner)
IND are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 meetings. (They failed to cover)
NE are 49-23-3 ATS in their last 75 games overall. (Covered)
Week 2 Summary: Our fades failed to bring home the dough this week as the ugly trends proved true. Don't sweat that though, it'll crap out sooner than later.
