AC Milan Finally Looks to Sign Some Solid Players
by Jason Green of Predictem.com
After losing several players, such as Kaka, this off-season the fans of the Italian giants were not happy to say the least. However, AC Milan has begun talking to several big players to try to lure them to Milan including Cesc Fabregas and Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
Milan are set to offer €35 million to Arsenal for star Cesc Fabregas. AC Milan club president Silvio Berlusconi has green lighted the deal and it may be done by this Wednesday. According to the a press report in Italy Arsenal head coach Arsene Wenger has promised he will sell Fabregas to AC Milan. Last week Berlusconi stated he wanted players who were under 23 years of age and Fabregas fits the bill.
It has been reported, but a deal is not done, that AC Milan has signed Real Madrid Striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar for €15 million. Milan has been losing for a solid striker, as they recently lost out in landing Luis Fabiano from Sevilla. Jan Huntelaar already had rejected a €18 million from VfB Stuttgart and it looks as if he will sign for AC Milan soon. In his only season at Real Madrid Jan Huntelaar scored 8 goals in 20 games.
AC Milan needs to make these signings in order to keep up with Inter Milan, who is the favorite to win Serie A for the 5th straight season. AC Milan also wants to get back into the Champions League competition after skipping it last season.
