If Bets - How Do They Work?

If Bets are a great tool to use if your playing with a small bankroll and want to get down on multiple games without tying up your money into a parlay bet.

An "if wager" can best be defined as a bet allowing you to place multiple bets that are dependent on the outcome of the preceding bet. The bets do not have to occur in the same order as the game times. This is a great bet option that you can use to your advantage if your playing with a limited bankroll and want to play more than one game that is going off during the same time period.

Let's look at an example because this can be a bit confusing:

It's Sunday and your looking to get down on some 1PM EST NFL games. You know that it's going to spill over into the 4PM games but you don't have enough loot to bet the 4PM games without the early games paying out. So you execute an "if wager."

So at 1pm, your taking the Steelers a -6 over the Browns for $110 to win $100. At 4PM, you like the Seahawks at -2.5 over the 49ers AND you like the Colts at -6.5 to cover vs. the Bears. Well, as we stated before, it's more than likely your game isn't going to end in time to bet the late games so you "if bet" it.

You if bet the Seahawks and then if bet the Colts. These are bets that come into action only if your first play wins, ties or is canceled. If your original bet is to lose, your second and third bets never go into action and are considered no bet. Note: This is of course a bet that you need to make all at one time as well.

One of the best sportsbooks on the web offering this type of wager is: 5Dimes.
