Superbowl Party Recipes

Are you looking for superbowl food ideas? Well, you may have found the right spot. Everyone knows that a great party is only as great as the food! Make sure your friends and fans remember how awesome the food was at your gig. Now we understand there are a million different recipes out there but here are a few to get you started. Have fun, and enjoy the game!

Pulled Pork Sandwiches:

1 pork roast
2 bottles of your favorite bbq sauce
red onion chopped
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper

Place thawed pork roast in crock pot. Add 1 cup of water for moisture. Sprinkle roast with red onion and salt and pepper. Pour bottle of bbq sauce over entire roast. Set temperature at low to medium heat and cover. Cook for 3-4 hours (until you can easily pull roast apart with fork). Remove roast and shred meat forks removing any unwanted fat (you could cut the fat off before cooking but it may take away some of the natural flavor). Mix pork with remaining bbq sauce. Serve on a bun or solo with a potato or macaroni salad and a cold beverage!

The Heart Attack Burger:

2 pounds ground beef
cup diced pepper jack cheese
cup chopped red or white onion
tsp pepper
tsp salt
package of choice bacon

Cook bacon completely to liking (crispy or not) and tear into inch pieces. Mix all ingredients. Shape mixture into 6 fat patties each about inches thick. Cook on bbq grill for best results or broil 10-12 minutes, turning once. Your burger is done when the juice is clear and there is no pink in the center. Serve on a bun of choice with chips and choice of salad.

BBQ Ribs:

Family pack of pork spare ribs or baby back ribs
1 cup of brown sugar
2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
cup Dijon
cup caramel
1 bottle of BBQ sauce

Begin by placing the ribs on an oven friendly plate or pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix brown sugar, chili powder, salt and pepper together in a small bowl. This will create your dry rub. Next, massage the dry rub into and completely over the ribs. Next, pour the Dijon mustard onto the ribs and gently coat the ribs with the mustard by using a flat rubber spatula or brush. Now the ribs are ready to go into the oven uncovered for one hour. After an hour remove the ribs and brush on the caramel and BBQ sauce; then place back into the oven for another 30 minutes. You do not cover the ribs at all during the entire process. After 30 minutes, check the ribs for toughness. If the ribs are tough when you try to cut them put them back in the oven until they are ready. Its ok to overcook ribs; in fact, they usually turn out better the longer they cook. When you are ready to serve them make sure you cut them along the bone at a slight angle. Enjoy!

Pot Roast Chili:

1 3-4 lb chuck roast trimmed of fat
2 Tbsp chili powder
1 tsp dried oregano
tsp garlic powder
1 (16 oz) can of red kidney beans
cup chopped onions
1 can tomato paste (8 oz)
1 can tomato sauce (6 oz)

Cut roast into 1 inch chunks. Mix chili powder, oregano, garlic powder, tomato paste, and tomato sauce with 7 cups of water. Add beans and roast chunks and pour into the crock pot. Cook on low for 4-5 hours. Serve with corn bread. Enjoy!
