Writers Wanted!

Wanted: Sports Handicapping Article Writers, Poker Writers and Casino Gambling Writers

We're looking for a few good men! We've got a few different types of needs. Do you have what it takes and fit the bill for what we're looking for? We ask that you be passionate about sports, knowledgable about sports handicapping/betting/gambling, have decent grammar, can spell good or are willing to run your stuff through a spell checker, can proof-read before sending articles in, can be consistent and some more stuff that we'll talk about later. Ideal people for this job in the past have been stay at home dads, school teachers and college students. These are very part time jobs and you are not going to get rich doing this. You must have passion and be doing it for the enjoyment otherwise it's probably not for you (we speak from past experience.)

Articles must be 100% unique to the Predictem.com site and we reserve the right to become full owner of all articles written that you have been paid for.

Listed below, you'll find some needs that we have from time to time. Should one of the following positions strike your fancy, please drop us an email at predictem@hotmail.com with why we should hire ya along with what sports you're able to cover. Please be patient as it may take quite some time for us to get back to you if at all. Please also be sure to leave a phone number of how we can get ahold of you. Positions open from time to time, but we always accept applications. Lastly, no offense, but we are only currently hiring writers from North America. This is due to dialect issues, time zone issues, and company meeting issues.

If you are a degenerate gambler or professional poker player who is too busy with tournaments, up all night, sleeping all day, please pass. We've been there, done that, it never works out. If you are difficult to get along with, are not laid back, or have a crappy attitude; please pass. We are a very laid back bunch, very small mom and pop type run business with very little patience for a pain in our balls.

Position: Game Preview Writers - (Approx 750 words each) This position entails writing previews for pre-assigned upcoming games. Not only are we looking for people with knowledge of sports, but somebody that actually watches the games and has objective views that can be put down "on paper" in article form.

The typical game preview starts with team names, season record, against the spread record, venue in which the game is being played, the time and what major television network is carrying the game. We list the point spread as well as the over/under (total) of the game.

An opening lead in giving the reader an idea of what to expect in the game, possibly a recap of what each team did last week (for football) or the last meeting (more of a basketball variable), a note of what the line opened at and what it's currently sitting at, what percentage of the public is betting on the favorite, strengths and weaknesses for both teams and how they should do when squaring up against each other, some valid trends/stats, and a pick against the spread (which if you're new you won't likely be making). There are more variables as well, however a good example would be this article written by Badger, one of the veterans on our writing staff: Indianapolis Colts vs. Arizona Cardinals.

Starting pay for game preview writers is $9/each and it goes up based on experience, output and tenure. Articles take around an hour at first, but once you become used to writing them, many writers claim it takes 30 mins. or less to hammer one out.

Position: Sports Handicapping Article Writer - (Approx 750 Words/Each) Valid candidates must possess thorough knowledge of betting, be objective, write articles on tips, strategy, advice about various sports relative to betting against the spread. MOST of these will be requests from the Predictem article manager however we will of course entertain your ideas as well should you have one or are eager to write about a certain topic.

Starting pay for these articles is $12 and up based on experience/tenure.

Position: Poker Writer - (Articles need to be 750 words or more) Our poker writers pump out articles on current events, poker room reviews, the how to's, tips, strategy, advice and more. Thorough knowledge of the game is a must. Starting pay is $12/article and it goes up based on consistency, output, tenure, etc.

Position: Casino Gambling Writers - (750+ Words/Article) This position entails writing about just about everything you can think of having to do with online casino gambling. This can be tips, advice, strategy, game rules, reviews of online casinos, and more. Pay starts at $12/article and goes up over time based on tenure, quality, consistency etc.
