    1/15 big card

The No.17 Cards (13-3, 2-1 Big East Conference) will tip off against Marquette (12-5, 3-1) at 11 a.m. Saturday in the KFC Yum! Center. Since 2000 it's been virtually an even series. U of L leads 11-9 in that span, and 10 of the 20 games were decided either in overtime or by no more than five points. The Golden Eagles have plenty of experience playing it close, but they are just 2-4 in games decided by five points or fewer. Those losses came to Duke (5), Gonzaga (3), Wisconsin (5) and Vanderbilt (1).

I like it close as well and like the big number for the road dog.........

    Marquette +6(-110)..................1 unit.

Game of the day IMO Cincy travels to the Carrier Dome. Should be a great match-up. What's with the big number?? The Bearcats first big roadie of the year in front of a HUGE crowd and an undefeated Orange. CIN are 7-22 ATS in their last 29 vs. Big East. That's not good. ATS though Syracuse are just 6-9 so far and Cincy is 4-1 ATS. Should that sell it?? Couple of stats to consider here: Orange shooting 38% behind the arc, 52% from the field but only 62% behind the stripe. Cincy goes 26%, 42% and 72% respectively. Now these are up to date from the last five games. 8 is a big number and there are a couple of hooks you can buy to get 9. To big a number this early in conference play for me to take a pass.

    Bearcats +9(-120)..................1 unit.

    Terps +6(-110)......................1 unit.

    Citadel +19(-110)...................1 unit.

    DePaul +9(-110)....................1 unit.

    Milwaukee -3(-120)..................1 unit.

    Wisky -5(-110)......................1 unit.

    Penn St. +19(-110).................1 unit.

    Lobos +2(-110)......................1 unit.

The Golden Flashes snapped a three-game losing streak in convincing fashion at home on Tuesday night with an 80-63 win over Bowling Green. Kent State now turns its attention to ending a six-game road losing streak dating back to last season. Scary stat: Ohio is 49-9 all-time at home in the series. I love my Flashes but we just have a hard time winning there.

    Ohio -3(-110)....................1 unit.

Greece Convo always tough place for the Flashes! Their lack of a real shooting guard is killing them. I think you're right on the Robert Cats but hate to say I hope you're wrong......GL Nicky!
