Had a great season this year, picking up over 30 units. Unfortunately I had built up to 50 at the all-star break, so I am on a slide that's not becoming to my bankroll.
I don't anticipate much thought into the playoffs this year, because I want to take my profit (and run) from a great season, but will be posting where I deem fit.
First some future first-round bets:
Denver Nuggets -200
San Antonio Spurs +145

Thanks fellas... that was a sweet win!!
Season: +32.33 units
Playoffs: +7.77 units
Total: just over 40 units
My final bet of the NBA season is:
Los Angeles Lakers -185 to win series for 10 units
Regardless, it's been a great season for the forum, lots of big winners and some good ball this year.
My choice is based on a few hunches, not stats... Celtics been some giant-slayers this postseason, I don't think it continues. I have a hunch Phil Jackson hangs them up after this season, especially if they win this year. Kobe is the best player... the. best. player. in the NBA. All of this MJ vs Kobe talk gets a notch after this year, after another LA title. Also, remember the last time the Lakers played poorly in a championship series? You better believe vengeance is a factor this year...
It seems to me there are a few more things that need to go right for the Celtics to win the series...
1) Rondo will have to continue to be lights-out. This is the most probable.
2) Kevin Garnett, Glen Davis, Kendrick Perkins will have to have a big series against the Lakers big-men. I give the nod to Pau Gasol, Lamar Odom, and Andrew Bynum?
3) Paul Pierce and Tony Allen will have to shut down Kobe. Now, I know Pierce did an awesome job two years ago, but we all can see the difference in his game from then to now. Kobe gets his.
4) Containing Derek Fisher's big shots. Just another Laker on the LONG list of those crafty vets that come up big in games on great teams.
5) Figuring out, and then not forgetting about Ron Artest. He's made some big shots already this season and I have a sneaking suspicion he'll be offensively instrumental in one of the two wins.
6) Rasheed Wallace. Does anyone else think he has to be a factor?
Thoughts fellas??
