EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) -- Jason Kidd got the Nets back into the Eastern Conference semifinals by doing what he does best: a bit of everything.
Most importantly for New Jersey, the Nets controlled the backboards after the Cavs pummeled them in the first two games, piling up a 100-69 rebounding advantage, including 39-12 on the offensive end.
This time, New Jersey held a 43-30 edge and limited Drew Gooden and Zydrunas Ilgauskas to a combined 12 rebounds.
When asked after the game how he could only manage 4 rebounds and 12 points, a dejected Gooden replied, "Man its been a tough week, first I lose 3 units (my whole bankroll) on the Golden State/Jazz under 2H, and next I got banned from a sports handicapping site. Plus I got outplayed today by someone named Mikki Moore. Whats up with that shyt. Life's been tough man."
