NFL News and Notes: Pacman Jones had sought to have his suspension reduced and to come back and play in 2007. New NFL commissioner Roger Goodell did the right thing and denied the motion. Pacman absolutely lacks respect for the game and if we had it our way he’d never see the turf of an NFL stadium ever again. Jacksonville QB David Gerrard is probable for this upcoming week’s game which is huge for Jags fans. Backup QB Quinn Gray simply lacks the experience and skill to lead an NFL team at this point in his career as evidenced by his play.

Speaking of the Jags, Defenseive Tackle Marcus Stroud has just been shown the door for four weeks due to the NFL’s substance abuse policy. Steroids was said to be what was found in his system. The Bills have named QB J.P. Losman their starter for Week 10 which is a huge mistake. Trent Edwards should be the man there. Live and learn Bills.

Reports out of Kansas City are that RB Larry Johnson has sustained a broken foot. If this were the case, this would open up the door for RB Priest Holmes which may end up being one of the best comeback story in all of sports, ever. - 11/6
