Let Go! Seattle Seahawks RB Shaun Alexander was released today. Classic example of a guy signing a fat contract, getting paid and then sandbagging. What a travesty. One of the Seahawks all time best players and one hell of a RB becoming dust in the wind. He’ll likely sign somewhere and may even do well this year, but what an ugly situation sucking as bad as he did after GETTING PAID. - 4/22
McNair Retires: Raven QB Steve McNair has retired after 13 seasons in the NFL.
Bengals Take a Stand: The team has released troubled receiver Chris Henry after saying they will no longer tolerate his behavior. - 4/3
NFL Rule Change: A rule has been edited that will have a big impact on upcoming NFL games. Today the league did away with the “force out” rule when a receive catches a ball near the sidelines and gets pushed out. Receivers will now need to get both feet down in order for a catch to be deemed a reception. - 4/2
Rumors Swirling in Cinci: The Bengals media believes WR Chad Johnson will be traded on or before draft day. - 4/2
Vikings Ink Backup QB: Minnesota has signed QB Gus Frerrote to back up Tarvaris Jackson. One could only hope that they have plans of picking up a QB in the draft this year as Frerotte is not the answer to any question for any team. - 3/31

RB Shaun Alexander appears to be the odd man out after the Seahawks have signed RB’s Julius Jones and T.J. Duckett to long term deals. Rumors are that the Bengals may sign him if he’s cut by the Seahawks which appears to be likely. - 3/9
Raiders Make More Bad Moves: Will the Raiders ever get a clue? Today they signed WR Javon Walker to a huge six year deal. Walker is a great WR, however he can’t stay healthy. - 3/5
C-Town Continues to Make Waves: The Browns signed DT Shaun Rodgers away from the Detroit Tigers today. This team has made SERIOUS progress during the offseason. - 3/5

Big Bucks: The Indianapolis Colts have signed TE Dallas Clark to a 6 year 36 million dollar contract extension. We don’t usually mention contract extensions here at Predictem because they are BOOOOORING but we got a chuckle out of this one as we can’t think of even one NFL TE worth 6 mill a year. - 2/20
No Justice: The Miami Dolphins released MLB Zach Thomas today. A sad day for Dolphins fans who this guy truly gave his heart and soul to for 11 GOOD years. - 2/14
On the Move? Sources are reporting that Bears speedy WR Bernard Berrian will likely be testing the free agent market on February 29th as the Bears are not expected to put the franchise tag on him. Berrian, who has above average speed, will be sought after by many teams lacking a deep threat. - 2/7
