That line was what it was because

1. The books give the Orioles (right or wrong) more respect than anyone at this forum

2. The White Sox are run of the mill. They're not a great team. The whole AL Central is down this year....and every stinkin team in that division has a ****ty bullpen right now except for KC.

3. Ditto to Gavin Floyd. Pitching one gem doesn't make you Nolan Ryan.

Biff is exactly right todays sports is not just sports anymore and competition, its a business....and everyone is trying to get theirs....so you dont think there is any outside influences ever that have been documented.....vegas is way too powerful, and im sure you watch alot of sports and see how in the last seconds teams do some stupid moves from shooting stupid threes at the end of the game...to missing crucial free throws....to pitchers having a bad day....isnt it a possibility that if you were a pitcher how easy it is to throw a game without anyone knowing..

and then next your gonna tell me that Vegas is not run by the mob...:beer2:

You really think the line was right Johnny????? with Gavin Floyd having one of the best starts of his enitre career with his ERA at 2.2 ....and OZZIE mentioning Floyds potential to becoming one of his Aces??? and John Guthrie not having a so stellar season who is rather a mediocre pitcher...and not comparing both teams offenses??? You really think that line is right when the public is pounding the Sox and the line in favor of Baltimore... THAT doesnt make any sense...

and yes I might of gotten lucky on this one....but let me ask you this.....How does a supreme closer like that blow a save against Baltimore letting themscore 2 RUNS score with 2 outs, with one of the crappiest offenses in the league???? do you think he couldnt handle the pressure against the Orioles where he just blew it....or maybe just maybe a little of Vegas is involved....???
