Had to bring this one back up. Might be about time to start the 2008 version.

Props to Jerbeek, Fear The Raven, Silver and Black, Hackman, and Golden71 who had the Red Sox picked to win (or at least get to) the world series!
I will give myself props (can you do that, give yourself props) for picking Arizona and Cleveland. They both made it to the Championship games.

More of an educated guess than a prediction. And not a homer play. I can't stop thinking Detroit gets it due to one factor. It is my theory, that if Detroit has as good a pitching staff as last year and go without injuries, and make it to the playoffs, they will win. alot of variables but like Stl lost it the year before they won it, and even in different sports seems to be the norm for this, I feel Detroit is the best candidate. Alot of ifs, ands and buts, but I just have a feeling that this will be the way it turns out. I still have a ticket stub for Tiger stadium where it cost $1 to get in to the bleacher seats. Go Tigers
