Arizona Diamondbacks -110
Play on Arizona at 9:40 ET. Milwaukee has won 2 straight at Arizona (and 8 of 9), but they remain a bad road team at 20-32 (compared to 33-14 at home). Starter Zack Greinke has really struggled on the road this season (6.19 ERA) and the last two seasons (6-17 TSR). For his career, Grienke has a terrible 15-45 TSR as a road underdog. The team is 2-13 on the road this season after allowing 2 runs or less their previous game. Arizona’s Ian Kennedy is in fine form this year with a 113-37 KW ratio. 10* on Arizona.
Arizona has dropped the first two games of this series but I expect the Diamondbacks to come back strong and grab this series finale. Ian Kennedy takes the hill for Arizona and he has been outstanding this season. He posted a solid 3.80 ERA in 32 starts last season and he has bettered that this season with a 3.39 ERA through 20 starts. He picked up his career high 10th win last time out as he went seven innings against the Dodgers, allowing just two runs. Arizona is 10-4 in his 14 starts this season under the lights.
Milwaukee looks to Zack Greinke to help pull off the series sweep and while he has been good over his last two starts, he remains very inconsistent this season. Prior to his latest run of two straight quality starts, he went on a three of four start non-quality run with all three of those coming on the road. That included allowing six runs against the Cubs and seven runs against the Yankees and his road ERA on the year is now 6.19. He has received solid run support of late but that comes to an end on Thursday. 3* (958) Arizona Diamondbacks
