[QUOTE=JohnnyMapleLeaf;120390]it's all horse****. that's the problem, people try and justify certain types of dirty plays. it was a dirty hit and you know darn well that you are going at a guy's knees like that. just like when you cut a guy in football who is engaged with another player and he blows his knee out.......just like when you plant somebody into the boards from behind and say "oopss....he must have turned his back on me". i didn't see anything written about it, so i couldn't have been that dirty. flyers problem is that they mistake the gritty 4th line great efforts like those of Carboneau, keene and mueller's efforts in the Stars run for downie, eager and some other no skill cheap shot clown who can't do anything but be a punk. flyers haven't had a good "energy/effort" 4th line in as long as i can remember. they always thug up their 4th line and call it an energy line. i was so glad when they got rid of eager. he would do 1 great energy thing and then do 400 stupid ones by taking dumb and cheap penalties.
That is a hockey play (if your referring to the Peca hit). It's a penalty, but a hockey hit. Happens many times during the year during an NHL season. Downey punched a guy in the face, a respected NHL veteran who is probably 150 pounds, who has been apart of this fraternity for years, and punched him in the face while the ref had his arms held. Downey has no respect. He almost ended Mcammond's career as well. He is going to get his at one point in the next couple years...and how.
BTW- nice call on the JAX ML. NEVER should have been that close. unfortunately JAX lost that D-lineman and that changed the game from a defensive standpoint for them. They were a completely different team after that. JAX was the right side, IMO with a wrong result. But you got the coin so who cares......:thumbs:Leave a comment:

[QUOTE=JohnnyMapleLeaf;120279]missed the game. was at the UCLA/Cal game so have no idea what you are referring to, but i am sure i will see the highlights (or low lights). And yeah, tucker would never do that....he would just cut a guy down at the knees and almost end his career in a playoff game.....
the Flyers got rid of Eager who was a worthless thug and they need to do that with Downie as well.Leave a comment:

[QUOTE=FlyersFan;119722]There are 2 of the biggest punks in hockey.QUOTE]
Downie is the buggest punk in hockey.
He shuold be kicked out of the league before he's 23.

Decided to add a small Washington ML play. Should have got this earlier in the week, when it was closer to +200..but I still like it.
Rain and wind in Seattle looks to be confirmed...and the Skins both run the ball, and stop the run much better than the Hawks....The Seattle defence also has not been tested in weeks, playing these creampuff teams with no offences to end the year (Atl/Bal/Car)....and they actually gave up 44 points to the Atlanta freaking Falcons! When they did play decent offences, the gave up plenty of points. 21 to Ari. 24 to Phi. 19 to Stl. 23 to Chi. 33 to Cle. 28 to NO. 21 to Pit. 21 to Cincy. This is an Over-rated defence people. Take away the games against the laughable Ravens and Niners, and this team gives up 23 points a game in a schedule where they have been playing all these sub-500 teams.

Actually, the US had the 2nd ranked team coming into the tourney, and were thought of as the Canadians main competition this year. The US were stocked with 1st round picks, and were only slightly underdogs on the betting line today.lmao....CAN beat the US 4-1 in the WJ's today and the whole country of CAN sounds like it is going crazy.....i guarantee other than myself, there probably isn't an american who even knows it's going on. I don't understand how CAN beating the US is such a big deal...that would be like us celebrating beating CAN in basketball or baseball. I guess the CAN media has been crapping on the team, though. That's crazy pressure for a junior to go through at that age.
Yeah, it's usually the highest rated games of the year, along with Stanley Cup, Grey Cup and the Super Bowl. Mainly because it's on during the holidays, but it's a big deal for sure.
Oh....and Canada DID beat the US at the World Baseball Classic :beer2:Leave a comment:
