I also can't believe that out of 25 votes, half of the people think he'll never play again. That boggles my mind. If OJ Simpson could get in good enough shape, that "killer" would play again, and no one could stop him. There are only two scenarios where he doesn't play again, those being (1) blackballed from the league or (2) life time ban.

The prior will NEVER happen because he's simply too athletic, and the latter is an extreme long shot at best too for legality reasons, IMHO.

I have no facts to support this obviously, but I would almost guarantee in the NFL that there are about 50 other guys who fight dogs regularly. Maybe they don't owner kennels for breeding and do it across state lines and such, but I guarantee there's a rather large underbelly of this especially in the NFL, and probably the NBA too.

Its the same for me, everytime I walk through the pound, regardless of how they got there!
I think, someone needs to adopt them or they will be put down!

Funny that you mention that, because I rescued both my german shepherds from the pound.

When I took a likin' to the oldest 1 we have, they put her in a room with all of us, but my wifey & 2 girls were thinkin':hide: ...

I just had to have her, and now she has been with us for over 2 years...

The most loyal dog I have ever had. She checks in on all of us EVERY morning, has set her boundaries in the yard(nobody would even attempt to cross), and lays by the front door while we are awake...

Overprotective at times, but now, my family will agree, it was a good choice! :th:

there are still dog loving LBs, even (far and few between) some that arent VUICAAC (vast, uneducated, inner city, African American community lol).

and I know this sounds ridiculous, but even a kicker who loves dogs could take a shot at him. LOL would have to be on the sidelines cuz Vick dont play special teams.

I agree with both Stif (and whoever said Defenses might have "extra motivation" to nail him) and Cuse. theres gonna be opponents and people who still have "respect" for Vick. Point is, its not all of them, and the ones who dont, still play defense, open season for VIck if he ever makes it onto the field. IMO.

LoL you think that's a ridiculous name.... I had a red-nosed American Pit Bull terrier named Zoe Velvet Chainsaw.

She was rescued at a young age from a house that was fighting pits. A total of 11 dogs were confiscated, & ultimately 9 were put down either because of their disposition, or the condition they were in. I'll never forget walking through the pound & looking at these poor dogs- a couple were so mangled I was relieved to hear they would soon be put down. Luckily these dogs were found, as Zoe turned out to be too small to be a fighter & would likely have been a "practice" dog (meaning the more dominate dogs would rip her apart). To the casual passer-by she looked ferocious but was the most loving, well-behaved dog I've ever owned. Sadly she started suffering from seizures & eventually had to be put down, but I am thankful to have given her as good a life as humanly possible. Sad part is these dogs get a bad rap because heartless people motivated by their own machismo & greed would rather see them fight each other. Just a sick world....

BTW I think everything Cuse said in the post above me is spot on. He'll play again, he'll get some spider-web tattoos & his jerseys will sell (which is all the NFL cares about anyway) :puke:

Only way he's not back in the NFL within 2-3 YEARS AT WORST is if Goddell somehow bans him from the NFL.

Stiff says no "quality" organization would take him back, and that might be true, but how many "quality" organizations are there really? Few and far between.

Still sounds like his plea will give him less than a year of jail time, and there ain't no way he's getting ass raped in the pen because all his homeboys in there will idolize him and are probably his biggest fans. He will fit right in.

Also, whoever wrote the thing about the defensive players who are dog lovers "policing" Vick with violence and vengeance upon his return is way off base. Not one guy bad mouths him anywhere, even if they love dogs. Michael Vick is like a nubian god to the (vast, uneducated, inner city) African American community (which is what a majority of NFL players relate to)- it's just the facts, sad as it may be.

The thing about the Vick story is that it has brought a problem to the national forfront. In my area there has ALREADY been an increase in charges for Dogfighting....I didn't even think it happened in my town. An associate in my law office has gotten two case s(defense) in the last month. In the previous 15 years of his practice: ZERO.

    This is a good thing.

Stif said it best: Karma is a BITCH. Somehow someway something to do with a dog will, excuse the pun, bite VIck in the ass later in his life.

    Horfy
