SYBASE CLASSIC - AKA. LORENA OCHOA OWN THIS TOURNAMENT

SO WHY THE HELL AM I GOING AGAINST HER.....the third time was a charm, but c'mon, four straight?

ANGELA STANFORD 18/1 TO WIN - Stanford has really taken to the tour with a vengeance this season! She has four TOP 10s in six starts and a total of 6 TOP 15s! Although she is 0 for 5 in TOP 10s at the Sybase and missed the cut in three of those starts - most recently in 2007 and 2005 - and her best finish was a T42nd in 2003, I have to believe with the numbers she is posting this season that her career has finally taken flight. Stanford has been very successful with a T7th last week at the Michelob Ultra, won the SBS at Turtle Bay, T7th at the Honda, T3rd at the HSBC, T15th at the Phoenix, and T12th at the Kraft. Her scoring average is 70.22 which is 3rd on tour and the best of her young career. For the year she ranks T2nd in rounds under par, T17th in birdies, T1st in eagles, 3rd in GIR at 74%, T9th in putts per green at 1.78, and 16th in driving distance at 259 yards. What's not to like except for her past track record at the Sybase. But she's more confident and really playing well.

NA YEON CHOI 25/1 TO WIN - Choi is one for one in appearances in the Sybase and finished T2nd in 2008 just one stroke behind Ochoa. She's one of many in the field hoping to unseat Ochoa as the undisputed three time (straight) winner of this tournament. Choi has six Top 15s on the season and three Top 10s...she finished T3rd at the SBS, T6th at the Master Card, and was 3rd in Lorena's tournament - The Corona - just a couple of weeks ago. She ended T15th last week at the Michelob Ultra at -5 despite finishing with a final round 74 (+3), if she would have finished at par she would have ended in 8th place! Choi ranks 10th in rounds under par, 14th in GIR at 71%, 7th in birdies, T14th in eagles, and 11th in sand saves.

BRITTANY LANG 33/1 TO WIN - Lang is two for three in Top 10s at the Sybase, with a T2nd in 2008 with Choi, and a T14th in 2007. So far this year she has three Top 10s in eight starts along with six Top 25s. Her best finishes on the year are two T7ths at the SBS and Corona, and a T4th at the Honda. She's 4th in the Soleheim Cup Standings and finished T39th last week at the Michelob Utra. She is T6th in rounds under par, T3rd in eagles, T7th in GIR at 73%, 8th in driving average and T65th in driving accuracy at 73%.
