This has been a messed up tourney to say the least. Last night matches were a pure example of how crazy it can be. Serena, Venus' matches were crazy and of course the Federer/Davydenko match. Davy won the first set and was up 3-1 in the 2nd only to lose the next 13 games. Unreal. Don't get me started on Djokovic. The ass clown throws matches and sets away like he doesn't care. He does not deserve the #3 ranking with his attitude and play it's a complete joke.

man, you can't get a big enough drain (especially cause of serena's tits...:beerbang:) for the williams sisters to circle right now. first venus blows 7-6 5-3 and 30-0 to lose and Serena may not even get that far.

tennis man.....i am going to enjoy it for what it is. good luck to all of you who gamble on it the rest of the year....

Also looking at Challangers Ancic the Lawyer is back - I may consider putting some money on him tonight.
I'm not a Donald Young guy personally. He was ranked #1 and Cilic #2 on the Junior circuit and he hasn't nearly come as far as Cilic. He's a long way away from being able to put a dent in a major if ever IMO.

What a disappointment that Murray match turned out to be. didn't see any of it but not what i expected (though i did like Murray to win).

Murray playing some very good tennis right now. Should be Murray and Federer IMO. that is a toss up if Murray keeps playing well.

Honestly I'm starting to think with the way this Nadal game is going the best play to make at the moment is Murray to win the Australian Open. He has changed so much from the player I use to fade against in big matches because he was just a headcase. (Remember that US Open against Davydenko where he just collapsed after the lengthy rain delay)

Also sorry bout the big loss Corey, I saw your play once I put money on Cilic at over 2.20 and thought gees. Anyhow whoever wins this match goes to the final Cilic can't keep going after all these five setters.

that was one of the strangest matches i have ever seen honestly. It was like 3 matches in 1 match. Cilic has a consistently awful serve, though, and i can't see him beating Murray or Nadal serving at 45% like he did in through the first 4 sets. I kept sitting there thining how is this guy holding serve when he can't get a first serve in. I think he's been teed up for whoever his opponent is. I will say that Roddick had him, shoulder or no shoulder, and let him off the hook. Whatever Roddick found in sets 3 and 4 he lost in the 5th.......:puke:

GL!...looking forward to the match. I swear ESPN sucks, though. They truly just don't get it that if people wanted comedy or entertainment they would be watching letterman or Comedy channel. People tune into ESPN for sports....i swear it's not that hard a concept. Lets just hope they show the match and don't talk all over the top of it like they do so often. I swear some matches there are like 10 people commenting on it.

I still give Cilic a good shot at that match. Roddick gets very beatable around this time of most grand slams. Hope he pulls it out, though. Also really looking forward to Murry/Nadal.

I decided to make a huge play on Roddick. Both players are undefeated in tournament play this season as both have won all 9 matches they've played. For Roddick he's had an easier road knocking off De Bakker, Bellucci, Lopez and Gonzalez while Cilic has been taken to the brink twice but has managed to beat Santoro, Tomic, Wawrinka and Del Potro. Two of the main reasons I've gone on Roddick is his strong serve which has continued here in Australia and his ability to wear his opponents down and force them to commit errors. In Cilic's four matches in Australia he's committed 67, 51, 56 and 71 errors while Roddick is only averaging a little over 18 errors a match. I expect Cilic to be a bit worn out here as his 5 setter against Del Potro had to be both emotionally and physically draining. Roddick played a 5 setter as well against Gonzalez but his match was a little over 3 hours while Cilic's was closer to 5 hours. Additionally Roddick is very good in TB's and Cilic ranks last in TB's in the Top 50 players on the ATP. These two have met twice in the past with Roddick winning on grass and Cilic on hard. Both have admitted that neither played their best in either match. Obviously there is risk here like in any wager. I've seen a lot of people on both sides of this match. It will certainly be a good one but I think Roddick's experience should push him past here. PS just in case people are wondering 100 units means in this case i've put up 1,530 to win 1,000. Best of luck to everyone and Go Roddick!!!!

I really was surprised to see Wozniacki go out in straights to Na Li. They played 2 weeks ago and Li beat her in 3 sets and i just thought Wozniacki would get her today as she had yet to drop a set and had pretty much cruised through the draw. Was really looking forward to the match with venus too and that isn't happening. Unbelievably i didn't see a piont of the match as ESPN didn't even metnion it lmao....until it was over.

The more i think about it, i almost like Cilic tomorrow/today (whenever, 19 hour time difference has me all messed up) over Roddick. I think that match is going to be really good and the value seems to lay with Cilic. Also looking forward to Nadal and Murray. I actually like Murray in that one.

Anyhow, good luck. I enjoy tennis and try and catch the majors and then the hardcourt US circuit during the summer. One of these years i want to get back to the Open. haven't been in a while. Used to go the what was then the Thriftway ATP in Cincinnati when i lived there (not sure what they call it now). Been to the women's event that used to be in Manhattan Beach and moved to the Home depot center in Carson a few years back.
Tennis is not easy. At times it can be very simple to bet on and at other times is can be downright brutal. The Aussie Open has been brutal for almost all bettors. I know a lot of people who have done horribly this past week plus including myself. It's just part of the ups and downs of the tennis season. Unfortunately at least on the women's side it's always a crapshoot. The WTA has no clear top player. Yes Serena is there but except for the majors she could care less about any other tourney and it shows. As for the Roddick/Cilic match I really think Roddick takes it. Cilic has been very fortunate to get this far being taken to the limit by the youngster Tomic and getting by a clearly injured Del Potro. We'll see where his mentality is tonight but Andy has been in this spot before and should have the advantage.

The Open is great but personally I like the first few days when there are tons of matches on the outer courts. After that it's really a crapshoot since you can get stuck with horrible matches. Two years ago when I went I got stuck seeing Dinara Safina vs. Anna Lena Groenfeld (Horrible, horrible match) and some doubles since they put everything on Arthur Ashe and I only had tickets to the outer courts. The Open is always a great experience and love going. Maybe we'll meet up there one day since Vegas didn't happen this year!

Good Luck FF...PS How about them Isles!!!!
