units would be what you would normally bet on a straight bet.....for example, if you usually bet 50 bux on a game, your 1 unit value would be 50 bux....you would put your taking that game for 1 unit....if your usual bet is 50, but you like a game, and bet 100, your bet would be a 2 unit bet....
