    Attention Poster NIGEL

    LET'S GO TEMPLE OWLS!!!!

I think the only person in here more a fan of Atlantic 10 hoops than me is you, Mr A-10 Commish. I'll be rooting hard for Temple, in hopes the A-10 gets the 3 bids they deserve. One would assume Saint Joseph's is in regardless after dismantling Xavier yesterday in a near flawless effort for the Hawks. Now, hopefully Temple can keep playing well, as they are one of the hottest teams in the country lately and the Atlantic 10 gets the 3 bids, and maybe some respect for how good the league actually was this season.

Totally agree, Cuse. Under normal circumstances, I would be rooting for St. Joe's. I really like their program and Martelli. X/St. Joe has really been a solid rivalry in the A10, one with a lot of mutual respect between the teams, coaches and fans. However, it appears St. Joe's locked up its bid by beating X last night. Lunardi, for what its worth, has St. Joe as a lock. One thing that will piss me off is if St. Joe's loses and somehow doesn't make the tourney as an at large bid.

I think it would be nice for the rest of the country to get to see Calathes, Nivens, Ferguson, Carr and Williamson from St. Joe's. On the other side of things, I don't think a lot of people have had the opportunity to see Dionte Christmas and Mark Tyndale from Temple....both of whom are among the best players in the A10. When Christmas gets hot, which he was against X, there really is no stopping the guy. He could make a name for himself if Temple can get into the dance.

UMass just has to feel sick right now....I bet they didn't see this coming.

UMass really has no shot, IMHO. They obviously are rooting for St Joe's hard. They should leave Atlantic City, open up the Palestra and let Temple and St Joe's duel it out the the right way, the Philly Five Way.

Man, I hope St. Joe's can keep its at large bid...that is my only worry as of now for the A10.

If all three teams make the tourney, I think they could be three very tough outs in the tourney this year. I realize its all about matchups....but I don't think I'd want to see Temple in the 1st round right now. They are playing some solid ball and have not one but two "go to" guys with Tyndale and obviously Dionte "Lloyd" Christmas. (Little Dumb and Dumber reference there) St. Joe and X could also pose some matchup problems with St. Joe's size, Xavier's outside shooting (so long as they don't shoot 1-14 from 3 like they did last night) and both team's balanced scoring. I would love it if the A10 became "the story" conference of the tourney with all three teams having success. Going from pre-conference 4-5 teams to possibly only 1 team going during the conference tourney, to 3 teams that represent well.

One can only hope, I guess. Again, if Temple is a 10-11 seed, they are going to be a pretty scary team to see with the roll they are currently on.

I've got Saint Joseph's in still personally (which doesn't mean anything haha, but still).
