Don't get a chance to watch as much Pac10 games, but the Big East has been pretty good to watch all season, & pretty dominant IMO. I have Louisville to win the East +480, think pretty highly of them. Marquette tonight
Champagne for my real friends, real pain for my sham friends...
well i didnt say top to bottom... just the best.... and i based it upon the postseason.... not the scrubby teams that every conference has that nobody cares about.
8 teams in the tourney
1 team seeded lower than a 7 = NOVA
that's enough said right there
the committe had much respect to the BE

Exactly, someone get FlyersFan a dictionary so you can look up the word "best". His argument is always "top to bottom", well yea, there's 6 less teams in the Pac 10 so obviously someone the 16 teams in the Big East aren't going to be that good. That's simply common sense.
I want to know when people started becoming fans of entire conferences and how I missed that boat.
rc27 boy - You're a Pirate fan, you're not a fan of the National League??? You don't root for the NL???
I'm a Syracuse fan and Skins is a, ugggh, Georgetown fan so we are fans of the Big East. What don't you understand or was this a sarcastic joke gone awry?

Going back to the "SEC RULZ ALL OTHER CONFRENCZ SUCKZ!!" days during football, I never understood when people feel the need to bring up entire conferences. If Notre Dame wins, does that mean Syracuse and Georgetown are somehow better? Did it help Georgetown or Syracuse at all? Both answers would be no. I guess I just don't get it. I hate the majority of the other teams in the Big 10 besides Penn State and you would not catch me rooting for Michigan, Ohio State, Illinois, etc. in any game.

i think you do, just not actively.
if michigan and ohio state sucked and couldn't even beat appalachian state... whoops... bad example.... anyhow, if they sucked and lost all the time it diminishes the value of a Penn State win over them..... i guess what i am saying is..... who cares if your team beats a bunch of teams who can't beat anyone else?

I would personally love it if Ohio State and Michigan never won another game in any sport ever again. That would be a dream come true.

what he said. there's a sense of pride. maybe it's latent in some fans but there (I think) is importance and worht in what your favorite team's conference does in the end results of their respective seasons.

I can safely say that Purdue having a good season did not make Penn State's basketball team any better. Nor did OSU's back-to-back trips to the National Title game in football help the football program. Hell, it hurt their chances with certain recruits.
