Honest Question needs Honest Answer

One thing is clear to me...I went to newspapers.com and read some newspapers from around the world the last couple of days....man, the leaders of the rest of the world are like frenzied sharks swimming in chum water.....they are already lining up for BO to keep his promises and make the entire world better. Add to that this country's economic mess....and damn, I have to wonder if BO is thinking to himself right now, "what the hell have I gotten myself into here?"

I do think its somewhat silly about the messiah complex bestowed on Obama. Its a curse to expect him (he's not the sole answer btw) to fix the WORLD's problem, but its good to see somewhat of a positive response, maybe there will be a concerted effort among everyone to fix things.

and like your quote Bo, but I personally see no relevance to it. Khrushchev was seen as a nut by his own party, and ousted, not much credibility there. This is not the first time in American history people are going through a "red scare". Anywhere from the 1920s to the New Deal during FDR's administration even the 2nd New Deal, fears of socialism were and always will be rampant.

If anything the main thing that should bolster these fears is a Democratic dominant Congress in conjunction with Obama's administration. I honestly did not see that coming, I thought that the Republicans would regain some control of the Houses.

IMO and many others we're better off with balance, obvious but true I believe. Obama was the chalk to win the presidency, but I'd have preferred a Republican Congress as opposed to what resulted.

First and foremost I hate racism!I consider racist to be some of the most ignorant people on the planet. I love the fact that an african american or part thereof can live the dream and be whatever they can be and therefore I am glad that an african american or part thereof has risen to the top of the political spectrum, I just wish that his platform was more inline with what I think needs to be done for our great country!So, the pro you elude to I agree with whole heartedly. Hopefully I am wrong and B.O moves towards the middle which I think needs to happen or he will commit political suicide as I believe as a country we are more middle right than far left as he has been and his platform portrays him to be.Though I do believe he will never get hammered like "W" regardless if he turns out to not be much better than Bush. He has his work cut out for him.

As posted above, I was hoping that Obama's presidency and political pressure would back him off of some of his more liberal stances....however, I read this article and it kind of scares the **** out of me.

I'm not a huge Dick Morris guy, but I have to believe the guy observed, first hand, what the democratic Congress did with Clinton. If the dems try to do this again to BO, and I think its likely they will, it will be interesting to see whether he bends under the pressure or chooses not to be controlled by Congress.

I think the reverse racism card is already overplayed and ridiculous...so why even bother? If Obama makes a bad move keep your opinions to yourself or you're a racist? That's a new one on me!? Is that simply based on the color of his skin!? You can't rally against the ugliness of racism and fall prey to it at the same time! Why would anyone suggest you're a racist if your opinion goes against something in the Obama camp? It's almost like someone who holds that thought actually has strong racist tendencies hidden deep inside them and is ashamed to admit it! That kind of defense mechanism doesn't hold much water and it never has had much truth to it! If you feel Obama is making a mistake then got dammlit voice your opinion! It's our right to do so...
