The Not so Great Alaska Shootout.....i mean WOW.....Chaminade would be a feature team here this year. Pretty sad when your feature game is Northern Illinois and Portland State. I remember this tourney used to draw some good teams and was always on ESPN on Thanksgiving evening....kind of the capper to the day after NFL football (and whatever ****ty college game they showed like Mississippi/Mississippi State). I don't even think it is televised this year on any channel........That is honestly just a pathetic lineup of teams. I guess as more of these things pop up like the one in SoCal and the thing in Peurto Rico, teams would rather go to a warm spot. I think it would be kind of cool to play in Alaska. I mean how many of these kids (a) probably even know where Alaska is (b) have been there before or (c) will ever get there at any other point in their lives.
