  • 2 half lines

I've been reading along with you guys for quite sometime now; a few years actually. Both here and at ultimate capper. As you can see I'm not big on posting. I just browse through here looking at everyones plays and listening to their thoughts.

I am posting today because I would like to share my thoughts/successes on my 2 half plays. I've been using bookieauto.com for probably 5-6 years now. And what that is for those of you that don't know is a website that takes the place of traditional phone in wagers to a local bookie. I don't use the offshore sportsbooks. I don't have anything against them, I just like this system. On Saturdays when I meet up with my guy, I either collect or pay. Just like the old days.

Now I'm not familiar with alot of the sportsbooks everyone here uses and I don't know how quickly the 2nd lines are posted with them but I'm assuming they are similar to mine with bookieauto.

Question to think about.... If you had a ranked team that was favored by 5.5 losing at halftime by 6, how strongly would you feel they would comeback and win? How would you feel if they were giving 5 for the 2nd half down by the same six?

Since I got ablility to wager on 2 half plays I have noticed, and with a high success rate that these favorites have actually been losing in these situations. I do not have percentages and I haven't kept a log of how often it happens but I have been cleaning up for years on these situations.

I'm sharing this because I have made alot of money both following alot of plays from you guys as well as saving money by being discouraged on some of my own plays.

The example I just gave you was from the Butler/Milwaukee game last night. Maybe some of you have noticed this same "phenomenon", if you will. When these 2nd half lines are posted they are almost begging you to pull the trigger on Butler for the 2nd half.

Other games last night that fell into this catagory:

Lasalle was a 5 point favorite down by 5 at the half... They were giving 4.5 (i call it a teaser line) and Richmond rolled in the 2nd half as well.

Davidson was a 13.5 point favorite down by 7 at the half... They were giving an 8 point teaser and the Citadel rolled.

I call this lines teasers because they look like no brainers and its hard not to pull the trigger. I took me quite sometime of just sitting back and watching these lines before I eventually pulled the trigger. But let me tell you, these things hit at an unbelievable percent.

Being successful at these plays takes up alot of time on most nights, especially Wed, Thurs and Saturdays. But its worth it. I sit on the couch with my laptop on my lap switching back and forth from sportsnetwork.com to donbest to my bookieauto waiting for the first halfs to end and my lines to pop up. It's a little exhausting and you may only find one per night or 3 like last night, but if your playing $100 or $200 per wager its worth it.

I'm not sure about the rest of you guys but hitting for a couple of hunnys per night is alot easier than the work I do during the day.

So to simplify my system.... Favorites that are down at the half with 2nd half lines that have them falling just short of winning or just winning by 1 or 2, you want to PLAY AGAINST THESE. THEY LINES ARE A TEASE. DON'T GO WITH YOUR GUT, TRUST THE SYSTEM.

Good Luck everyone and thanks for the years of success you've helped me achieve. It's very appreciated.

I'll get watching but you won't hear from me too often. If I can help I'll put in my 2 cents.
