Flyer....check out what I wrote in Mark's Moneymakers thread......I think Kent is playing way better ball through their 8 wins and even in their two losses last week which were both road games. I don't want to violate my rule about betting on my own team, but a win tonight versus I feel a Buffalo team who has been struggling thru the second half of the season would not surprise me!

LMFAO......
Being Akron was once touted as the Rubber City, the Rubber Capital of the World, etc. because of Firestone, Goodrich and Goodyear being headquartered there......it's a wonder they didn't call themselves as the Re-treads, Blems, Dirigibles aka. Blimps or Zepplins, but they settled on naming themselves after rubber boots that had zippers instead of buckles......

Here is my reasoning for the Zips vs. Ohio pick!
OU is out of contention for a top spot or seed in the East Division as they stand at 7-7 while the Zips are just a game out of first at 9-5. This is the Zips last home game and after an embarrassing shooting day against BG, they want to celebrate senior night in a big way and who better for a visitor than Ohio (the Zips are at rival Kent on Sunday).
Ohio is 1 - 3 - 1 ATS and 0 -5 SU in road games at The JAR (James A. Rhodes) Arena. The poor Bobcats end the season with two road games in two of the league's toughest places to play and nothing to play for. The Bobcats are at league leading Bowling Green (10-4) on Sunday. OU will be lucky to get a 8-9 seed in the MAC tourney. Fire the AD or schedule maker.......
Check out these results for the season.....Ohio is just 1-5 on the road in the conference with losses at West Division teams Central Michigan (7pts), Ball State (7pts) and Western Michigan (14pts). In division play they lost at Buffalo (4pts) and at Kent (13pts). Their recent MAC road losses were their worst beat downs at WMU and KSU!
Meanwhile.....Akron is a respectable 5-2 at home on the season with a loss to Buffalo by 2pts, and a loss last weekend to Buffalo by 4pts even though it was a one point game at the end until UA threw the ball directly to a BG player on an inbounds play with 14 seconds left. Their home wins are versus Kent (14pts), Central Michigan (19pts), Western Michigan (24pts), Ball State (8pts) and Miami, OH (9pts).
This is one of a very few times you'll find a Kent guy rooting for Akron! LMAO :thumbs:Leave a comment:
