    P-Riv 3/6 Saturday

    4-1 yesterday. Finally a good day.

    Florida State -2.5 at Miami ......LOSS

    FSU has been winning the games they are supposed to win pretty regularly (and conversely losing to teams that are better than them), so they've been pretty predictable. That said, Miami is arguably the worst team in the ACC at this point, losing to fellow cellar dwellers in NC State and UNC recently, so on paper FSU should go about handling their business as usual.

    Additionally, I think this line is so short because of Miami's 12-3 home record. Going by that alone you'd think Miami's home court advantage is something quite fierce. Well that record has been propped up with a cup cake schedule outside of the ACC. In ACC home games they're a more beatable 4-3.

    The atmosphere in the BankUnited center is hands down the least intimidating in the ACC. The B.U. center seats ~8000 fans. Miami's getting about 4000 fans to actually come to their games, so the arena is about half full. With FSU being so close, I've got a feeling that today's game could see a split of Miami and FSU fans, so I think you can throw out any home court advantage edge to Miami.

      Thanks Bunky! Yeah every time I watch an FSU football game I get that chant stuck in my head for an entire week!! It's catchy that is for sure!

      Texas A&M -3.5 at Oklahoma .......WIN
      Sooners are on a 7 game slide. Also, Oklahoma will again be without their guard and leading scorer, Willie Warren. Sooners home record of 11-3 looks pretty good, but that record was accomplished with Willie in the line up.

        Okay, this certainly looks like a trap line, and I definitely may have taken the bait here. I know this line is so short because UM is coming off a huge win against Duke, but here's my reasoning why I like UM anyways..

        Maryland still needs to win this game to share the ACC regular season title with Duke. UVA is on an 8 game ACC slide, and during that slide they've been getting their asses handed to them (double digit losses in 6 of the 8 losses). Plus I think Vasquez will have his hair all gelled up this afternoon.

        But like I said, the line is certainly fishy, so I might have gotten taken :dunno:

                        You know how I feel about Paul. I've never seen a coach do so little with so much talent. He's the worst of the worst.

                        What a game that UVA/Maryland game was! UM covers by a point?! It seems the bookies got a little bit too greedy setting that line!
