  • UMass Info -- Must Read

I posted this in my thread, but for those who don't read my threads, I thought I'd start a new thread....those of you looking at UMass may want to know this....

    Illness plagues Minutemen - Sports

It looks like nearly the entire UMass team has the flu. I realize these are 20 year olds who are in prime condition....but for anyone looking at this game, you may want to take this into consideration. Sounds like everybody on the team except two guys are battling it.

This forum is about info....I think this is some important info. I'm staying away from this game because of this. I would have tabbed UMass as the favorite to win the tourney before I heard this. 3 games in 3 days with nearly the entire team battling the flu....that could be tough.

    GL!

Totally agree, JoePa. Like I said, I had UMass winning the entire tourney (yes, beating X if necessary in the finals). Lasme and Freeman down low are one of the best big man tandems in college hoops. Don't know what's going to happen now.

Not a big deal, doesnt mean they wont cover, just may mean a closer game.

                    Game Is On Tv Here

UMASS players have trash cans on the bench with them and are routinely throwing up and spitting in them.

Never seen anything like this. And they are still up 8 at half, and playing relatively well.

This is sad for these kids, I feel bad. Freeman fouled out so early, he just had no energy. They are playing so hard, but have nothing in the tank.

Tough break for them unless they can comeback here with 5 minutes left.

Yeah, I agree...this is brutal....but still a pretty entertaining and close game. Gotta give the UMass kids loads of credit.

UMass can't want this thing to go to OT....can you imagine how these kids are going to feel tomorrow if they pull this out?

That Life kid is totally pure from 3 point land.
