Don't forget, and this I feel is the most important part of this game, that Tulsa lost nearly their entire offensive line from last year and return only 1 starter. They lost 1 all conference lineman and two second team all conference lineman. They also lost their top 3 WR's from last season, which granted doesn't matter as much since OC Malzahn would throw the ball 50 times to anyone but still.... That line could really be in for a nightmare tonight with talent the Sooners have on the defensive side of the ball. Paul Smith is good, but it's hard to throw from your back or throw 40 passes on the run. I know he's mobile but he will be tested tonight.

First off, this will be in no way a home game for Tulsa. Tulsa is a small private college and the majority of people in Tulsa are OU fans. This will be another home game for OU. Tulsa does have a nice offense, but just as good as their offense their defense is that much worse. Tulsa's coach said this week that his linebacker play last week against BYU was the best he has seen, huh? they gave up nearly 700 yards to BYU last week.

OU will dominate both line of scrimmages and will control the game. They can name their score in this one. Paul Smith is agood QB, but they do not have the running game or the OL to make this one close. OU will get out to a big lead early and then pound Tulsa with the running game. The only chance Tulsa has in covering in this one is a late back door cover. I got the line at -20 on Monday and if it gets over 24 I might take Tulsa and hope it lands in the middle. Just FYI- this will not be like a normal home crowd for Tulsa and it will not be loud and rowdy in Tulsa's favor, even the Tulsa fans that are there are not really big Tulsa fans. My prediction on the score is 51-17 OU. GL everyone on tonights game.:beerbang:

I agree with whoever said OU could smash them if they want to, and personally I think they want to. Why wouldn't they want to? They need to impress voters as much as anyone because the Big 12 blows ass this year with not one legit team to "test" Oklahoma. Texas is not a Top 10 team, Nebraska got dismantled at home by USC, Texas A&M looked like North Texas last night, Okie State got undressed by mighty Troy, and Missouri couldn't stop a blind snail from scoring if they had 13 men on defense. Stoops knows OU needs to hammer people all season long and then needs the winner of the LSU/Florida game to then lose in the SEC Championship game and if they want their National Title shot versus USC (if they go unbeaten).

I agree with Hackman... Tulsa get their doors blown off EARLY with a pro-OU Sooner crowd out in force and often and OU wins in dominant fashion like 48-10, 45-14, or 45-7 or something.

If I remember right, that game OU played against Miami was without Kyle Wright as the full-time starter, he was splitting snaps and thus had trouble getting in a rhythm. Granted he hasn't been good over his career, but he did nothing to really hurt his team last night and hooked up on some nice playaction passes. And OU capitalized on some big Miami turnovers(Javarris James fumble for a TD) and Miami was playing catch up the entire game on the road in Norman. Not to mention Miami was without 2 key defensive contributors that were back in last night's game. This game was also before Shannon realized he had to blitz to get pressure on the QB, which he acknowledged in an article on a Miami website before last night's game and changed his gameplan up. So the trouncing of Miami has to come with a grain of salt. It won't be a big play, but I just think Tulsa has enough to keep this thing within at least 3 scores.

Tulsa is in Oklahoma......It will be at best for Tulsa 50/50 fan distribution...the Owho fans will be in full effect and you can treat this a a home game for both teams...

Owho in the past couple (Poops and Tulsa coach) has a positive relationship and that who 'not gonna run it up mentality'...Poops and new TU coach have no relationship, AND if Owho has any chance of getting to BCS they have to blow out every team as they have the weakest schedule of any team in contention...

Owho wins by 30 and it will probably go under.....45-10 is my guess...

I got it at -20 and hopefully the line keeps crawling up but it looks like its stalling out at 23. Hopefully it can hit 24 and I'll just try and middle it cause I dont really want action on either side tonight. If it doesnt hit 24 then i'll just ride out the -20

+24.5 would be the golden number...that's 3 TD and a FG, and we should still cover by .5 :beerbang: lol

I agree JayCol, but you figure with the way Tulsa played them last time and the fact that Oklahoma "SHOULDN'T" be trying to cover their spread, then all they care about is the Win regardless if its a few points or many points... I think this will be a good game to curl up in the lazy boy and enjoy a nice 12 pack of brewski :cheery: :puke:
