That's one thing...as a casual CFB fan...that I've never understood....this whole conference bickering....and how during bowl season, a fan will start cheering for other teams in their conference in other games, just to give their conference some sort of strength in arguements....when IMO, those teams SHOULD be their arch enemies, and always cheered AGAINST! JMO.

I also don't understand, especially for regionally close teams, why you would want a team in your conference to have that kind of recruiting momentum against you. The recruiting momentum from a national title is unmatched. Why would I want OSU to be able to show off their rings on a visit to a kid that is considering OSU and PSU? That makes no sense. I bet Texas Tech didn't throw parties when the Longhorns won it, and I doubt UCLA was pumped for USC's win. It blows my mind, to be totally honest. And now the other SEC teams have the last 2 winners to recruit against....Good luck with that :laughing:

I'm just frustrated because we had tornadoes in the area that knocked out power for 5 hours so I just got power back an hour or two ago.. and the cable is still out so I missed the WHOLE GAME.. Talk about bad luck.
