    JOSIAH ANDREWS
    WR • 5-10 • 175 • Greenville, N.C./J.H. Rose
    • Three-time all-conference selection and won four straight state championships • Totaled 61 receptions for 1.042 yards in his career and totaled 28 touchdowns on receptions, kick returns • Made 122 tackles and intercepted a school-record 23 passes as a defensive back • Defensive MVP as a senior when he recorded 57 tackles and intercepted 12 passes • Also caught 39 passes for 703 yards that season.

    CHRIS ANZEVINO
    DL • 6-2 • 308 • Warren, Ohio/Warren G. Harding
    • Named first-team All-Steel Valley Conference, All-Trumbull County, and All-Northeast Ohio and second-team All-Ohio after recording over 50 tackles and helping the Warren G. Harding Raiders to a regional runner-up finish as a senior.

    MARKUS BURTON
    LB • 6-3 • 200 • Columbus, Ohio/Beechcroft
    • Recorded 138 total tackles in his high school career at Beechcroft High School • Also intercepted four passes, forced five fumbles, recovered ten other fumbles and scored two defensive touchdowns • As a senior, made 69 stops, picked off two passes and recovered seven fumbles.

    DARRIUS CARTER
    DL • 6-5 • 244 • Ingelwood, Calif./Westchester/El Camino College
    • Junior-college transfer from El Camino College in Torrance, California • El Camino went 23-2 during his two years • Member of California State Junior College Champions in 2005 • Selected as a second-team all-league offensive tackle as a senior in the only year of high school that he played football.

    CHRIS FAVAZZO
    DE/OL • 6-5 • 250 • Blacklick, Ohio/St. Charles Prep
    • Earned first-team all-district and all-league honors and was special mention all-state as a senior at St. Charles Preparatory • Earned four varsity letters • Totaled 120 tackles in his senior season alone, including 50 solos and 11 quarterback sacks • Also registered 20 tackles-for-loss and blocked a kick.

    MICHAEL FAY
    OL • 6-4 • 265 • Allentown, Pa./Parkland
    • Was named second-team all-state and first-team all-conference and all-area as a senioe at Parkland High School • Earned three letters in helping the Trojans to an Eastern Conference championship in 2005 and a Lehigh Valley Conference title in 2006.

    ANDRE FLOWERS
    RB • 5-11 • 200 • Ridgely, Tenn./Dyer County
    • Was named to the all-region team four times, earning regional offensive most valuable player honors three times • Set school records for career rushing yards (6400) and touchdowns (74) including three straight years with at least 1,300 yards • As a senior, rushed for over 1,600 yards and 20 TD’s, including 364 yards in a game with five TD’s • Also topped the 20-touchdown mark in his junior year when he rushed for over 1,500 yards • Combined to rush for 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns his first two years.

    VONDRE GRIFFIN
    ATH • 5-10 • 175 • Swissvale, Pa./Woodland Hills
    • Named all-conference as a senior at Woodland Hills High School • Selected to play in the East-West All-Star game • As a junior scored at least one touchdown rushing, passing, receiving and on both kickoff and punt returns.

    SAM KIRKLAND
    DB • 6-1 • 188 • Chesapeake, Va./Deep Creek
    • Earned all-district honors twice and all-region honors once at Deep Creek High School • Defensively, collected seven interceptions and 67 total tackles in his career • Also accounted for nearly 3,700 yards and 38 total touchdowns on offense as a quarterback.

    ISHMAA’ILY KITCHEN
    DL • 6-3 • 316 • Youngstown, Ohio/Cardinal Mooney
    • Twice named to All-Ohio, All-Steel Valley Conference and All-Northeast Ohio District teams while at Cardinal Mooney High School • Helped lead Cardinals to state championships in 2004 and 2006 • Team posted a 48-4 record in his career.

    CHARLES LASTER
    OL • 6-7 • 320 • Mableton, Georgia/South Cobb
    • Four-year varsity starter and three-year team captain at South Cobb High School • Marietta Daily Journal Dynamite Dozen and CCTC All-County Team selection as a senior • Eagles were a three-time Georgia State Playoffs participant during his career and went 23-7 during his final three years.

    RONTEZ MILES
    S • 6-1 • 190 • Swissvale, Pa./Woodland Hills
    • Earned three varsity letters and was twice named all-conference at Woodland Hills High School • Was selected to play in the Big 33 game • Had 43 tackles and six interceptions as a senior • Picked off eight passes his junior season.

    GIORGIO MORGAN
    QB • 6-4 • 200 • East Pointe, Ga./Tri-Cities
    • Named second-team all-region, team offensive MVP, and selected to the Atlanta Journal Constitution Top 50 Players in Georgia as a senior at Tri-Cities High School • Passed for more than 1,500 yards for the second consecutive season in 2006 • Also rushed for more than 700 yards that same season • Totaled 17 touchdowns as a senior • Earned four varsity letters in football and also lettered three times in basketball.

    CHASE MORRIS
    OL • 6-2 • 260 • Raleigh, N.C./Wakefield
    • Named to the All-Cap-7 Conference Team as a senior • Received the Top Offensive Lineman Award that same season • Participated in the NCCA All-Star Game • Two-time academic all-conference selection.

    MICHAEL PAGE, JR.
    OL • 6-4 • 285 • Trotwood, Ohio/Trotwood Madison
    • Named first-team all-conference as a senior at Trotwood Madison High School • Helped Rams to spot in Division II Playoffs.

    RYAN RANDOLPH
    WR • 6-3 • 190 • Lewis Center, Ohio/Olentangy
    • First-team All-Ohio, all-district and all-conference as a senior at Olentangy High School • Had 30 receptions for over 650 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2006 and was picked for the Ohio North-South All-Star Game • Had 20 catches for 410 yards and six TD’s as ajunior for the Braves.

    AARON ROBINSON
    WR • 5-10 • 175 • Ellenwood, Ga./Martin Luther King, Jr.
    • Caught 25 passes for 530 yards and seven touchdowns as a senior at Martin Luther King, Jr. High School • Helped Lions to a 9-3 record in 2006 • Made 20 receptions for 475 yards and six TD’s as a junior • Lettered three-years in football, totaling 57 receptions and 14 touchdowns.

    MONTE SIMMONS
    DE • 6-3 • 220 • Swissvale, Pa./Woodland Hills
    • Named first-team all-conference as a senior at Woodland Hills • Was nominated to play in the Big 33 game • Earned three varsity letters in football.

    JON SIMPSON
    TE • 6-5 • 225 • Suffolk, Va./Nansemond River/Hargrave Military Academy
    • Totaled 29 receptions for 420 yards and a pair of touchdowns in his career • Selected as one of the Top 50 weakside linebackers in the nation by Scout.com, despite only playing the position for part of one season at HMA.

    PAUL STEFANIK
    LB • 6-1 • 225 • Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford
    • Recorded 215 career tackles and 21 quarterback sacks as a two-year letter winner at Penn-Trafford High School • Earned all-conference first-team honors as a senior, totaling 109 tackles and 15 sacks • Also nominated for Big 33 game and East-West game • Named to East Elite Team as a junior making 91 tackles and six sacks.

    DWAN THORNTON
    RB • 5-7 • 175 • Washington, D.C./Ballou High School
    • Rushed for 1,956 yards on 189 carries as a senior at Ballou High School, scoring 26 touchdowns • Ran for 287 yards and four touchdowns in one game • All-DCIAA First Teams as a junior and senior • 2005 Eastern Board of Officials High School Offensive Player of the Year • Finished third in the Metropolitan Area in rushing as a senior and sixth as a junior (1,999 yards and 28 TD’s) • Totaled 54 touchdowns in two years • In his first high school game, returned the opening kickoff 80 yards against Cleveland St. Edward.

    RASHAD TUKES
    WR • 6-3 • 181 • Riverdale, Ga./Riverdale
    • Totaled 80 catches for over 1,600 yards and 31 touchdowns in his career at Riverdale High School • Selected as Gatorade Athlete of the Year as a senior when he had 30 receptions for over 600 yards and 10 touchdowns • All-state selection as a junior • On defense, made 16 interceptions and over 100 tackles as a defensive back • Picked off eight passes as a senior and four as a junior • Scored nine touchdowns as a freshman.

    BYRON TYSON
    LB • 5-11 • 207 • Greenville, N.C./J.H. Rose
    • Totaled 233 tackles with one interception, 15 sacks and 17 tackles for a loss in three seasons • As a junior recorded 97 total tackles and nine quarterback sacks • In his senior season, made 118 tackles, including six sacks and intercepted a pass • Member of four North Carolina State Championship teams • Also member of Coastal 3A14A Conference Championship squads in 2005 and 2006 • Was named to the North Carolina Preps All-State Team.

    ALAN VANDERINK
    ATH • 5-10 • 185 • Hiram, Ohio/Mantua Crestwood
    • Gained a total of 3,826 yards with 51 touchdowns in three years • Totaled 2,047 yards on 197 carries with 24 touchdowns as a senior • Named first-team All-State • Selected as the Cleveland Touchdown Club and Akron Touchdown Club Portage County Player of the Year as senior • Set school records for most yards rushing in a season (2,047) and a career (3,826) as well as most touchdowns scored in a season (24) and a career (51) • Also lettered in basketball, baseball, and track and field. • Holds the CHS boys basketball record for most assists in a game (14) ... Also set school records in the 100 meters (10.8) and 200 meters (21.8).

    DORIAN WOOD
    LB • 6-1 • 224 • Mableton, Georgia/South Cobb
    • Registered 161 tackles, including 23 tackles for a loss, six sacks with one interception as a senior • Named first-team all-state and county Defensive Player of the Year in 2006 • Participated in the North-South All-Star Game • Totaled 306 tackles including 45 for a loss with three sacks and a pair of interceptions in his final two seasons • Member of the top-ranked defense in the state of Georgia in 2005.

    Some quality athletes in there Wonk....and did you see the schedule? Brutal!

    Only 5 home games and they go to ISU, UK, OSU, and NIU....at least they have BGSU, MU and CMU at home but they'll be no picnic either!

          I expect them to be close to the top in the MAC East....their D will be the question without Kirkland, Muir and Young. But they've got some other players with good experience coming back and a few stud recruits.....not saying they're ready to challenge the Buckeyes or even UK yet!

          And hell yes everybody ought to pickk up their trash....they brung it an made the mess didn't they! Ah man he's going back to the old school days and making people take pride in the school as well and making the statement that it's a priviledge to go to a game not a God given right to go there and trash the place! :glass:
