Cheers to football everyone! :yeah:
My first wagers of the year:
C. Fla. -1.5 - Yes, Bortles is a Jag (as in Jacksonville ... although he may litterally be a jag, I don't know), but Central has so much less to overcome in this game. Penn St. still has no depth, on the road in hot-Florida, new coach, new schemes ... I like Central here and the number has been coming down in my favor.
Neb. -21.5 - I may buy off the hook (depending on how much it takes to get to -21, I'm not paying more than -120), but Florida Atlantic is god-awful. Nebraska rolls in front of the home crowd big time today.
ND -21 - The Domers get their QB back and to my surprise, haven't had too much preseason hype to overcome ... no super high expectations. Talent-wise, Rice is no match for ND. Notre Dame rolls in this one too.
Purdue -8.5 - Playing this one because it dropped from 12.5 down to 8.5 this week? Alright, I know Purdue is bad (sorry BoilerBacker!), but let's remember this is 1-11 Western Michigan people!? Sure they have a soph. QB back ... but its Western Michigan. I'm willing to put a small snicky on this and I'll bet the end result is closer to the 12.5 number than the 8.5 number.
Good luck to all my fellow degenerates!! :yeah:
