  • Canadian Dollar...

...is now on par with the American Greenback!

It was .64 cents only 5 years ago....so no more jokes about the weak Canadian Dollar, sweet. lol. Also, this is just in time for my trip to the US for my honeymoon in a couple months....it's saving us about $800 from what it would have cost 2 years ago. This also helps out the Canadian professional sports franchises, as that was always something they had to overcome!

Yeah...that's the one problem....sure it's great now for Canadian residents going to the US with an even dollar, but border-town businesses, as well as Canadian vacations spots are worried it will discourage US residents from travelling here because they aren't carrying a much superior dollar anymore which always resulted in crazy savings.

What would the Ottawa Valley do every summer if joepa cancelled his yearly fishing trip?? lol

Actually, American education focuses heavily on geography and history.... it's simply that they don't teach anything related to Canada's geography or history due to Canada's relative insignificance with respect to anything pertinent in the world.... pretty much the same reason nobody knew anything about Liechtenstein until the movie "A Knight's Tail" came out.

                    I was obviously kidding.
I'm sure the American education system teaches the things that Cuse was asking (jokingly) like Canada having people, money or actually excisting. lol. It's called world geography. I don't expect them to teach specific geography or history of other countries (although they should), but letting students know that there are other countries in the world besides their own, seems pretty important to a person's general intelligence, IMO. lol!

As for your other comments regarding Canada...I don't find it necessary to comment, as you are obviously baiting. lol.
