Oh I was thinking about your system to and decided that it probably would not work on an overall basis. The easiest reasoning I came up with is who decided that 6 games was the magic number?
I have had thoughts like this over the years. It's a method of trying to bet back toward the middle of the standard deviation. Basically identify the largest swings for deviation and then bet it back to the middles whether it was negative or positive. Unfortunately over the years you learn that each game has it's own probabilities and the short term deviation can be enormous.
