I'm as "Christmasy" as anybody, but to see Christmas promotions priot to Halloween reaks of greed.

I sure wish they wouldn't unveil the ads until Thanksgiving Day.

To me, it cheapens the whole event by turning it into a marketing frenzy of who can get their ads up first.

It's no secret that the world puts too much emphasis on loot. Maybe I'm just noticing it more these days because I'm older and more in tune to things.

Or, maybe it just keeps getting worse and worse and soon we're going to start seeing ****in Christmas ads on the 4th of July! lol

My older brother has a Christmas in July party around his pool every year, in July of course, complete with tree, food, gift exchange, etc. I never go, because there is only one Christmas to me and I don't need a pseudo holiday driven by commercialism. I'd rather give than receive anyhow! Forget about the gift exchange and just call it what it is......a pool party!
Batman: "If you can't spend it, money's just a lot of worthless paper, isn't it?" :phew:
