    JML Thursday >>>

    MLB YTD: 278-254, +29.51 Units

Haven't liked any games in mlb the past 2 days, but I like a few today...

Angels -191 (Lackey) vs Orioles - 4 Units
Fading the worst team in MLB. Wow the Orioles suck. I was very surprised this wasn't -250. The only thing they had going for them were a couple decent starters, now they've ran into injuries, and are forced to start bullpen guys by committee....and they had the worst bullpen in the AL. LA has been hammering them this series, and I don't see that stopping.....also, the Halos start the very good Lackey, who is one Angel that is actually better on the road....he is also still in the CY Young hunt, so I don't see LA letting up at all in this one. Angels in another romp.

Rockies -119 (Francis) vs Phillies - 2 Units
Colorado is still in that wildcard race, has been playing well, has lit up that horrible Philly pitching, has the better starter on the hill, Durbin's been ****.....I'll back them on a low number.

Blue Jays -102 (Burnett) vs Yanks - 2 Units
Jays looking to avoid the sweep, and this looks like a good oportunity to do so with their hottest starter on the hill facing a rook....AJ has been unreal since returning from the DL (4-1, 1.92 ERA), and the Jays....a good home team, rarely get swept at Skydome.

Astros -107 (Williams) vs Cubs (Traschel) - 2 Units
Fading Traschel....he blows overall, blows worse on the road, and is pitching on short rest....Woody's been decent of late, and the Stros a good home team looking to play spoiler.

Drays +130 (Hammell) vs Mariners (Weaver) - 2 Units
Weavers completely lost it again...getting rocked every start...also, nobody's been worse than the Mariners the past month, who are now completely out of the race, and must be hanging their heads....on the other side, TB's played some pretty good ball the past month, and Hammell's coming off 2 pretty great starts against East powerhouses NYY & Tor...don't see why this shouldn't be a pick'em....great value IMO.

    Adding the early game...

Cardinals +168 (Action) vs Reds - 1 Unit
Cards to avoid the sweep on a huge number....worth a shot, and I like following afternoon action!

lol...yeah..."officially" the Rogers Centre, but everyone I know still calls it Skydome...only the media calls is Rogers Centre, cause they have too....I hate that corporate ****.

yeah, Romes getting close....Leafs have pretty well the same team that missed out of the playoffs by one point, but added a very good goalie, and a 40 goal man, so I see a 5-8 place finish in the East this year.

Agree with your points on TB and Houston. Seattle has really gone to ****....I think partly because they haven't had an off day in like a month in a half or more because of all those make up games from when it snowed in Cleveland early in the year.

            GL with em

I just noticed that the Saturday matchup is Halladay against Victor Zambrano for the Orioles. Wow. Are they ever desperate....I'll be on Toronto -300 in that one....lol!

I just got so sick of the MLB grind I had to take a bit of a break. I mean I was at about +50 units around the all star break I think, give or take a few, and ever since, it was up some, down some. Worst part is that the ups were coming more often, but they'd be only +1 unit, +2 units, etc, and then i'd drop an 0-5 and -10 units on one day and have to start climbing the hill all over again. I got nowhere for the last month and a half from the break till the beginning of Sept, I just got sick and tired of it.

I have been playing a game or two here and there though, and I've actually been doing very well. I'll be at about +52 units again for the season if TB wins tonight, and I'm more than happy with that. I don't think I'll be playing more than a game every day or two anymore at this point though. The juice just gets dumb at this time of the season and unless you wanna back teams like the pathetic Orioles (LMFAO) or the pathetic White Sox, the value just isn't there anymore.

+50 was my goal for the season, so I just don't see any point in wagering on any more games unless I'm pretty confident in my chances.

Maybe once the playoffs roll around....lol

I come in and read everyone's plays every day though....and basically that's how I'm finding most of the plays I am making. Just tailing very selectively. I really liked your view on the TB game, and I agreed, so I dropped some cash on it.

Lets hope they can cash :beerbang:

Great stuff, Stif.....Tampa lookng good...hopefully their bullpen holds on...

Yeah, your right....dog days....I've been finding it to be tough sledding on finding good solid plays in mlb all week.....nothing real great, and today wasn't great for me....I really should be sticking to 1/2 plays a day...as the best value for me seemed to be tampa/toronto tonight.

Nice work this year....let's make some money in the postseason, bro...

Stif......I can't believe the TB bullpen gave up 7 runs late to blow that big lead and lose the game for the Drays.....wait, yes I can. :bang:
