Horf, in your other thread I was asking what you planned to do with the lost units in the ANA/BOS series dog-chase. Do you plan to spread it out over the 2 series or lump it into one?
Last year I piled into the next game, like I'd be puttin' 8 on the dog in the Cleveland/Boston first game. But I have always wondered if there was a smarter way to do it. I suppose There are a few options:
1. 8 on the Dog in Cleveland/Boston
2. 4 on the dog in Cleveland/Boston (game 1) and 4 on the Dog in Arz/Col (game 1)
3. 2 on the dog in Cleveland/Boston (game 1) and 2 on the Dog in Cle/Boston (game 1)
(I can tell you I don't like #3)
One time I did split it up (option 2) and then both dogs lost that first game and then it was up to 8 in each of the next games. Examples:
First Possibility
8 on Dog in Cle/boston and dog loss -> 16 in the next game
1 on Dog in Arz/Col and dog loss-> 2 in the next game
Second Possibility
4 on Dog in Cle Bos and dog loss -> 8 in the next game
4 on Dog in Arz Col and dog loss -> 8 in next game
I think of the two options the 4/4 split makes the most sense, because you are risking 16 in the next set of games if you lose both versus 18 if you lose both.

That's what I figured we would do. Like in the NHL system I remember before splitting the losses from a road trip over the next day into about 3-4 games and the hit won't be as much if you lose a few of them.
Dumbass Red Sox putting us in this perdicament :bang:
