After watching the Cubs get handled pretty easily in the NL I'm left with one thought. In terms of regular season wins, is it possible for the best NL team and the best AL team both go 3 & out in the first round of the playoffs? Obviously if you were to make a line for that proposition before the playoffs started it would be around the vicinity of +500 or more. Well tonight, the other side of that line is at +150 due to the "unthinkable" happening. I'm taking the nice odds on a very talented and well coached team against a watered down Josh Beckett in what seems to be a "sure" thing proposition.
