but "your" right about the reds/pirates etc......guess my post was kind of a misguided attempt at saying sports were better 20 years ago and there is no arguing that at all IMO.

just forget pro sports and go to college games, go to great atmosphere's and sit as close to student section as possible. go to a game a cameron indoor or at chapel hill and those kids will bring some life and love for the sport right back into you...
i cant watch sports in person unless it has a packed house with a great crowd. its really somthing to be sitting in a playoff baseball game and score is tied and home team jacks one out. man the crowd noise is enough to make u smile!

it is college sports too. or i would not have received alumni club tickets to 3 fiesta bowls that were slightly higher than the blimp while chicks i ran into everywhere had seats on the 30 and 40 yard lines and didn't even know what schools are playing. OSU charges 80.00 for a tailgate ticket that they MAKE you buy when you go to a bowl game. with that ticket you get a hot dog and a bag of chips and the right to stand in a field with some other buckeyes. "actually i don't need the tailgate ticket, i've got tons of tailgates already i am heading to"...."tough luck....you have to include the 80.00 in your ticket check". that is basically extortion.

the college game is just as big a money machine as pro sports, unless you want me to go attend a CSUNorthridge game or something.

i never said sports weren't fun to go to. just gets old when you feel the hands in your pocket and i think i've been through it enough over the past few years to know. I mean yeah, nothing like the thrill of the reds beating cleveland for 10.00 more a ticket because they can. i don't see them offering 10.00 off for the Pirates series.
      I am the M'bah a'Flyers Fan !
