    Monday MLB Plays

Hope everyone had a great Easter yesterday! I'm barely alive as I ate waaaay too much yesterday and keep fighting to stay awake at work today.

For everyone playing the Cubs/Rockies game, don't get your hopes up. I work right in the Loop and it's been ranging from a steady rain to pouring for the last 4 hours or so and is supposed to be that way for much of the day. Temps in the mid to upper 30s (38 or so) w/15 MPH winds outta the east. Odds of getting this one in today are slim I would say. Rockies seem to be the right side as Lilly hasn't looked good and Jimenez is someone the Cubs would struggle with, especially on a day like today. The under also seems probable with the weather but staying away alltogether for the fact that a rainout is likely.

    Plays (1.5 units each)
    Rangers -122
    Tigers/White Sox UNDER 9
    Nationals/Phillies OVER 9.5
    Mets RL +100

    GLTA!

Surprised they got the game in at Wrigley today but glad they did. I heard that Lilly (dating back to last season) has taken a no hitter into the 7th inning in 3 of his last 5 starts - pretty impressive if you ask me.

    Add (1.5 units):
    Royals -127

Looks like I should have blanketed the overs in tonight's set of games. All the ones going on right now either on pace for the over or are already there. Some awful starting pitching tonight it would appear. Would not surprise me if we hear that Chien-Ming Wang is heading to the DL shortly. Haven't seen either of his outings thus far but a pitcher that has allowed 15 ER and has only 1 K in 4.2 IP thus far, I'd have to believe something is wrong. Also:
      * The Padilla Flotilla no reason for celebrating tonight as the O's pounded him out of the game in the 4th and his counterpart, Koji Uehara, hasn't exactly been lights out w/4 ER through 3 IP.
      * Pelfrey and Silva both blasted to ring in the new Mets stadium.
      * Gallardo and Volquez combine for 12 ER in 3 innings in Milwaukee.
      * Litsch couldn't survive the 4th inning in the Hump Dome.
      * Carmona on pace to prove two years ago was the exception as opposed to last season.

:dunno: Where has all the pitching gone? Certainly not a night for the pitchers-duel enthusiasts.
