gl stif, but not so sure I can back the phillies. It doesn't look like the books are all that confident in them either. They took another blow to the bullpen with the setup man Condrey going on the DL too. Howard is in the lineup though, so maybe they can generate enough offense to get this one. Losers of 7 of 8 I had to avoid them.

Maybe you're right. I just think while obviously he's no ace, Moyer is often undervalued (now watch him get lit up for 8 runs in 2+ innings tonight). All i really read on here is "Moyer sucks, Moyer's an old man, Moyer's showing his age, Moyer should retire, etc etc", but I've noticed that while he has the occasional game where he takes a pounding (what pitcher doesn't?), he usually keeps his team in it for at least 5 or 6 innings, yet there's always a big + sign attached to the Phils when he pitches, or they're barely favored over a team they should be favored by alot over.

I like the situation they're in tonight more than anything though. TB heads back home on a 2 game winning streak, including putting 10 runs up against the horrid Mets pitching they faced on Sunday, while the Phils are losers of 6 straight, including a blown save that cost em a game, and a lack of offensive production that cost them another despite a strong effort from Hamels. I feel Philly will be the hungrier team tonight.

I also think that while Price has good stuff, he can be as wild as anyone in MLB at times, and from what I've seen, has a tendency to get himself into high pitch counts. I feel he is a talent, but I also feel he is overvalued in just about every start right now.

TB is also only a mediocre 12-14 vs LHP this year, and they were also struggling to produce at the plate prior to facing Tim Redding and co on Sunday. The Rays offense seems to produce best when facing a 2nd (or more) straight right hander, but that's a different story all together. Anyway, combining all these things, plus what I feel may be a bad situational spot for them tonight (coming home feeling good off a win where they scored double digits), I could see a possible let down for them tonight.

Last, the Phils have had success both vs LHP and on the road this year, so at +160, it was really hard to ignore....so maybe I'm being set up by a sucker line, but I played it anyway, lol

Yea, I wish I could have gotten a few more though. I can't believe I got suckered into taking the Natinals over Boston. Real smart handicapping there. Seriously, the books must LOVE getting ass raped by the Natinals every night. Why the hell aren't they +200 or more in every game by now? And against a top team like Boston, why aren't they closer to +300?

Those would be more accurate odds. Oh yea, they beat the Yankees 2 out of 3, and then took 2 of 3 from a struggling Jays team, and now all of a sudden they're good?

Staying the hell away from that team seems like the best plan, cause as soon as I go against em, they will win like hell :puke:
