  • Need a little help

I have changed the way I am going to approach mlb this year. I need help as I attempt to create a limited mathematical model. I am trying this from memory, but if anyone has a chart, it would be greatly appreciated, it seems to me that if team one is -110 then the opponent is roughly +100, then -120 and +110 and so on. I seem to remember analyzing this afew years ago and this seems to be what I came up with.

Anyone have anything else to help me?

    2021 NHL: (through 02/24/2021)
    Sides: +17.4 units
    Totals: +0 units
In Game (Not posted) -0.6 units
    Parlay: -1.8

    All 2021 NHL:+14.9 units

Are you referring to odds? Some sportsbooks have a 20 cent line which more or less means -110 would fetch you -110 on the other side.

A dimeline sportsbook at -110 odds would have the dog at +100.

Here's an article we have on it: <a href="http://www.predictem.com/mlb/dimeline.php">Dimelines</a>.

Dimelines usually only go up to a certain amount and then they become 15 or 20c lines. Each sportsbook is different.

Drop me an email if I've misunderstood your question.

Yes I am referring to the lines. I really appreciate your response. So for the most part books would increase by one and a dimeline would be:

      -110 to +100
      -111 to +101
      -112 to +102
to a certain point then they would switch to
-150 +135 (I arbitrarily picked that number) then
      -200 +180 (I arbitrarily picked that number)

books that have a twenty cent line would:
      -110 to -110
      -111 to -109
      -112 to -108
      .
      .
      .
      -200 to +180

      Do I have that correct?

      Thanks

That is correct. I think the 20 cent line moves to like 40 cents up above -200. It all depends on the book.

Some books have dimelines all the way up to -199 (<a href="http://www.predictem.com/sportsbooks/betonline.php" title="BetOnline">BetOnline</a>)

        I think <a href="http://www.predictem.com/sportsbooks/5dimes.php" title="5Dimes">5Dimes</a> has them up to -191/+180.

        Each book varies.

I won't bet on anything but a dime line (or better) for my main book....and that's for all the major sports.

I do keep money in others in the case I catch a line off enough that its worth paying the -110 (often times in nfl I'll be able to catch +4.5 -110 at a square book as opposed to +3.5 -101 or so at a sharper book, and to me the full point, thru what I feel is the most key number in football of 4, is well worth it.....but the money you save on the dime line over the course of a season, especially if you make a lot of plays, is unbelievable. way better than any bonus the book could offer.

I use 5dimes and I think the dime lines do go to -190. they also have nickel lines over night (-105/+100, -104/+101, etc)...but to be honest I've found that I USUALLY get a better line if I wait until they go to the dime line and adjust to the early action, but that's just me. others may find they get a better price with the nickel over night line. just depends which teams you play.
